Just gonna guess at Desmond Howard but I know he got it for more than being a WR.

Yep. Tim Brown and Howard are the only true WRs to win the award.

 

Interesting that Tim Brown was also a big time returner so if any WR has a chance at getting the trophy, they better be a ST standout as well.

 

Well, Liberty is done and with the CANX of Liberty vs. Coast Carolina, the door has been opened for a dark horse.
Coastal Carolina has the CANX Liberty game rescheduled to go against BYU.

The winner + Cincinnati should be considered for the CFP.
Marshall is also undefeated, but I doubt they play enough games to get any consideration.
