    Askren also claims he let up the choke slightly when he saw Herb come in, which would explain how Robbie got his wits after his arm went limp.

    It's tough. I tend to think as little as Robbie protested, he knew the choke was on even if he doesn't believe he ever went out.

    Yeah after rewatching it (as well as learning more about that particular choke) I'm convinced he went out, even if only for a few seconds. The way Robbie's arm fell to the ground did not look like a natural movement of a conscious man. That said, you could easily still make a case it was a bad stoppage because Robbie DID come to and give a thumbs up which Herb didn't see. But with how much time was left it seems like it was inevitable that Lawler was going out (again) and taking the L. At the end of the day, I don't really believe Lawler was screwed out of a victory or anything.

    You can make a case that Robbie got ripped off after he (very likely) KO’ed Askren from the dump and following shots.
