what is the latest on derrick morgan? i really, really like him, and still think that he will be an awesome player for the titans, and be a star here on our defense! before he got hurt, he was really starting to come along nicely! i think that last year was just a minor set back for him, and knowing what i have read and seen about his work ethic, i have no worries about him working hard to be a great player and having a strong here this year to start that off. any word?

    Who?

His ACL is probably still healing. It's a pretty serious injury.

It's the offseason though. Time to make it stagnant.

I'm sure he'll return this year but typically for ACL injurieshe won't be back to full speed until 2012.

Kimmy! Good to see ya back! Hopefully Morgan is hungry to prove himself after such a disappointing year. Surely he's working his @ss off and will be ready when/IF the season kicks off.

He was doing great until he got hurt. It was only disappointing because of the injury.

If we can get him a stud DT to help him in the middle, our defense might start looking a whole lot better.

Look for newcomer MALCOLM SHEPPARD,to make a move in either the DT/DE rotation, he was recruited out of highschool to Arkansas by none other than new DL coach Tracy Rocker, Rocker also turned Sheppard into an all-SEC pass-rushing force playing from the DE position,he was moved to DT his jr. year due to an inexperience interior line, he was constantly double-team but still manage to be 2nd team all -SEC, and whats even more interesting, new LB coach Frank Bush was his Def-cord. last year with the texans, Sheppard has great up-side and could be ready to blossum.

I see us tagging Babin, drafting a big DT, and bouncing Jones to the outside to give us our starting line up this season. I think Morgan will be a good - very good defensive end but I would not trust any player coming off a torn ACL to start and produce at a high level.

I would like us to go with Babin|1st|Brown|Jones with Morgan mixing into the rotation for 2011 then after Morgan takes a year on rotation duty (It generally takes 2 years to recover from a torn ACL and we don't want Morgan's injury to become a lingering thing) he can replace Babin or Jones after the less impressive choice walks.

That first step is huge for DE's, Morgan will need a little more time, but he'll be back, this D-line aint too bad, the Titans could get a big body in the late rds.i follow the SEC and was shocked that Sheppard went undrafted, look for brown or jones to get pushed by Sheppard if he's allowed to play DE, but if he's kept at DT (most-likely) he will turn heads early, he's 6'3, 290 if he puts on 5 or 10 pds. the Titans got a hidden gem.
