I could honestly care less about Holt.

 

The only thing I can think of that would make Holt want to play for Jax instead of us is that he would definitely be their #1.

Yeah but no dollar amount has been put on the table by either FO.
Unless we offer him noticeably more than Jax does, he'll probably choose Jax.
Even if the offers are similar, he'll go to Jax. He will have less competition for number 1 there than he would here, and while Jax is also a running team, they tend to pass more than we do.

 

we aren't going to push Nate Washington the the #3 either (or Gage for that matter). I don't see it happening, and I really don't want it to, either. I would like for us to draft a WR in the 2nd round, someone that is multi-talented and can be a target for whoever our QB is (but who knows what that means?)

It makes all the sense in the world for Jacksonville to overspend and get a WR. They're stupid if they don't pick someone up. Especially after letting Fred Taylor go, MJD is alone in the backfield and he isn't exactly built to last frame-wise. They also need to address the RB position or we are going to toss them like rag dolls even harder than last season.

 

Hopefully Nashville is his 2nd and last stop.

If we don't sign him though, hopefully we get Nicks at 30.
