Yea me too, may be overkill with a 1st rd CB this year but JR is always looking ahead. Logan Ryan only inked a 3 year deal in 2017, so in 2019 he could on his way out.

I dont really mind the idea of 4 stud CBs, you need 3 and if one goes down you're kind of in trouble.

Not to mention with the pass heavy offenses around the league... need all the CBs you can get. Maybe Adoree sees more time on ST & O too?

I dont mind if they want to mix Adoree in more on offense, hes the best athlete on the team. Hopefully we dont need his help but we'll see.

Could also be looking at playing one of our CB's in more of a safety role too. Or maybe he's just looking at these 1st Rd CB's as a possibility if one falls to us in the second.

I have a sneaky suspicion that our 2nd round pick may shock us. If some really high upside talent fell (Jaire Alexander, Lamar Jackson, Mo Hurst, etc) I could see JRob jumping on talent over need.

I'm sure I'll get killed for even suggesting Lamar, but it could absolutely happen. He'd be the perfect backup for Marcus, and he'd be a big time trade chip down the road if he's developed properly.

Its almost unheard of for a team to draft a QB to sit behind their under 30 franchise QB, I really cant even think of an example of a time a team stocked up on 2 QB's when their starter wasn't 30 or over.

A QB of Jacksons pedigree here makes no sense to me.

Yeah, it would be bucking a trend, but it'd also allow us to play a bit more loosely with our QB's and allow them to actually run. It's a theory I've heard thrown around from time to time where you draft athletic QB's like they're RB's almost and just use all of their skills and disregard injury.

My only other theory as to why we brought Lamar in for a visit is we wanted a profile on the guy. JRob may think someone like the Jags are going to trade up for him and he feels like he needs to know more about him.

Yea this makes plenty of sense, JR surveys the land, sees the jags didnt commit long term to Bortles, expects them to make a play for the only QB they could possibly draft in the 1st with their pick..

Can’t say I’d be thrilled to have to play the jags twice a year with Jackson under center. I think eventually that kid is gonna ball out.

Only one I can think of offhand is the rg3 cousins situation.
