Keenan Allen in play Rd 2 with poor 40?

Didn't Anquan Boldin run like a 4.8?

 

Don't like Allen. He was a locker room divider at Cal and a large reason that Tedford got the axe.

 

On nfl network they used the word "physicality" to define this guy about 50 times. The comparisons to Boldin are lame Allen is 20 pounds lighter.

We can cherry pick those Wrs who ran a slow as crap 40 and still succeeded and say he is them but that doesn't wash. His 40 time is a concern!

That said he was an enormously productive player. His last full season in 2011 he had almost 1400 yards.

Still thinking of Hopkins or Hunter at 39 over Allen but if Allen is there that means one of them is no longer there.

 

Tedford got fired because is team was 3-9 following many mediocre years. Allen had nothing to do with it.

 

The rumor is that he wouldn't play if his brother wasn't quarterback. Coincidence or not, when his brother got benched, he decided that he was done for college.

You can draft guys like Hopkins that didn't have that situation.

 

Zach Maynard(Allen's brother) missed the last 2 games of the season and Allen the last 3.

If it is true that Allen was not really that hurt and decided not to play then he is not draft worthy at all. It also means his 40 was a legit time.
