He's a better goal line back than greene is. Green is not gonna get any more than 5-10 carries a game. You can bet your bottom dollar that. That role would be better played by Turner!

You can assume whatever you want, but at no point did I say that I don't think the players the Titans signed are impact players. I said that's what the media is saying.

I actually like the Titans' signings, with the exception of Greene. Just because I'm a realist, people around here accuse me of being negative about everything. I'm excited about this coming season, too. I'm just not ready to go out and give the Titans a bunch of A+ grades when not every move the team made was a smart one.

It was a dumb move acquiring the biggest RB in free agency, when 100% of fans agreed a physical RB is a huge need?

Rashard Mendenhall or Peyton Hillis were the only other options, and I'm not convinced either have much to offer at this stage in their careers. Adding Shonn Greene made a lot of sense.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth, but I definitely didn't ever say that acquiring a physical RB (which Greene is not, by the way) was a dumb move.

The Titans needed to get a bruiser. Way overpaying a crappy bruiser was dumb. The team could easily have gotten the same production from a late-round draft pick. Guys who can push the pile a yard (and not more) are very, very easy to find. It is always stupid to pay for them, because you can always find them for cheap.

ANYONE who says that after this FA season that the Titans are "losers" obviously never watched a Titans game last couple of years.

Waste of interent bandwidth to write this drivel.

    Not a physical back?

Watch Brandon Spikes ring his bell, Spikes goes down too, thats a physical player

and yes they can get the same thing from a late round pick, but there's no guarantees in the draft, the guy they want may be gone, they did a excellent job covering their bases in case they miss that guy in the draft

If these players are so easy to find, then how come we don't have one? The one we did find managed to eat/smoke his way out of the league(LenWhale). I understand what you're saying, but it hasn't worked, so why not get the ultimate compliment of a scat back, someone who can get the tough inside yards and is genuinely unselfish?

I think Shonn Greene is a breath of fresh air for the Titans offense and will be very important.

Plus, we're paying Greene 3.8m per year, for christsake, Michelle Griffin makes almost double that and he's twice as terrible!! It's not like we broke the bank for him, or paid CJ money when the production last year was the same. Then i would be really upset.

    Nahhhh...... just real negative :)

4.2 YPC career is not bad for a power back like Greene is. Like other have said, we'll see what he adds to the roster. but right now, I'm pumped.

My beef with the Greene signing is that he's getting paid roughly the same amount as Steven Jackson and Reggie Bush - significantly better starting running backs.
