I didn't catch all of the interview, but one thing that Munch said was that we are still looking to improve the OL. Also said that we would still like to improve the talent around Locker. I can only guess this means the WR position.

He said that they have been to Alabama and worked out their guys on an individual basis. Said it is the individual workouts at the schools that are 2nd in importance behind their actual on field production in evaluating a player. He said that Matthews has been to see a bunch of OL.

Mentioned that the addition of our FAs shoulod help bring a new attitude to the team.

Anyone else catch the full interview?

Sounds good to me. OL, WR, DE, CB with our first four picks in BPA order.

Munchak said "Jake knows it is his team now. No one looking over his shoulder. He sets the tone, he sets the meetings, it's his."

I didn't know players set meetings.

    no S or DT?

I wouldn't mind a true slot WR or a true burner on the outside. I look at what we got in Verner and McCourtney and even Finny and what rounds they were taken. I really really don't think we need to take a CB in the first three rounds. Maybe our 2nd 3rd round pick.

I would still like a true run stopping DT or every down (Haynesworth esc) DT. That would just improve the secondary so much.

We have a solid DT rotation with Casey, Hill, Martin, Pitoitua, and Klug. I wouldn't mind a DT if one falls (Star or Floyd), but would rather go DE, WR, CB in the 2nd/3rd if there's also a DT available.

I think we're good at safety with Griff, Martin, Pollard, and Wilson.

I want Terry Hawthorne with our 3rd comp pick out of Illinois. It would be nice to go pickup one of the available vet CBs for a small 1 or 2 year vet min deal.

Its a weird spot. I guess we have to look at the future as well. What position has questions marks after this year and I would say S, DE, and WR.

Right now we only have 2 good CB's (statistically at least) and not really anyone that sticks out after that, or at least someone we would trust to get a lot more playing time. Also, Verner's contract ends after this year and we need some leverage against him and some insurance in case he does leave. We definitely need to go CB within the first 3 rounds.

Nailed it. We gotta pickup another CB, although I do like Coty Sensabaugh. I really want to find a true #2 [potentially #1] CB to pair w. McCourty. I'd love is Trufant was available with our 2nd, don't see it happening however.

Yeah unfortunately I don't either. Even though blogger's mocks aren't the most accurate I've seen him going as high as 10 and as low as the late 20's. Maybe if a few of those teams are a bit more down on him then we might have a chance.
