from not just getting in the playoffs, but competing for the division title. Our division is weak and we are getting stronger. This could be a very exciting year for Titans fans. Ruston Webster, I applaud you sir. Mike Munchak, finish fixing the offensive line and I will applaud you sir. Go Titans!

Warmack! Our line would be unstoppable. This would make things a lot easier for Locker, CJ, and Greene. So excited. Let's go Titans!

Too. much. optimism. in. this. thread.
Makes. me. post. like. this. apparently.

In all seriousness I'd try and curb your enthusiasm until we actually start playing games.

Yeah, until we actually hit the field the only team in our division I'd put us ahead of is the Jags. Luck will most likely only get better and the Colts are making some good moves as well. And we have a lot of catching up to do to compete with the Texans. However I do think the Texans window is closing.

But don't get me wrong, I'm optimistic about the season at this point. Let's just not forget exactly how bad we were last year and all these new players may take time to gel. But looking past just the 2013 season, I'm feeling really good about our potential over the next few years.

Time to step yo game up Jake! You too Munch.

On paper at least, this is a much improved team. But they still have to go out there and do it. 6-10 wouldn't surprise me. But neither would 10-6.

I really think the Colts will regress this year. They will have the 2nd place schedule instead of the last place schedule and I really do believe in Sophomore Slumps for QB's. Look at us. We went from the 3rd place schedule to the 2nd place schedule and went from 9-7 to 6-10. I really wouldn't be surprised if we finished with a better record than the Colts.

I'm not saying it's impossible by any means. I think we're pretty close, if not better than the Colts from a talent perspective. But Luck is the difference. And it's a pretty huge difference IMO. If you put Luck on the Titans and Locker on the Colts I think it's not even close. We would be a MUCH better team than them.

But we'll see how it all shakes out. I've went around and around with other members on this topic. I hate the Colts as much as the next Titans fan. But some people around here (not you) are just delusional with their Colt hate. Luck's the real deal and it sucks for us.

This team lacked direction, leadership and an identity. I feel we have addressed these issues and if we have another solid draft the division is up for grabs.

The direction was shown when the front office decided that we needed to address the offensive line (1/2 check because we are not finished), be aggressive in free agency (check) and on defense (Gregg Williams - check) and get rid of aging players (Hasselback, Hutchinson, etc. ... - check).

When you show people within and outside of the organization that you are willing to do whatever it takes to be competitive again this has a trickle down effect that excites the fan base and motivates the players on and off the field. Ladies and gentleman, we are no longer talking the talk. Now we are walking. And it feels good.

The leadership will come from the veterans that we are bringing in and the identity has been shown in the type of players that our front office has targeted this offseason (Physical).

The Texans, Colts and Jaguars are all beatable. Don't let the media persuade you to fear the Colts and Texans. I reside in Houston so I have no choice but to semi-follow what they do. I wasn't impressed two years ago when the media jumped on their bandwagon and I am still not impressed with that team.

Just in case you forgot or too young to remember, we use to dominate this division.
