I really do like the combination of JMAC/ATV, I think under a more aggressive system they can do really well.

I also really like the idea of ATV playing a Finny role, moving inside when we got 3CBs on the field. He's aggressive and a very good tackler.

Still though, it would be very wise to add a 3rd CB, especially when you consider who's still out there. He should be brought in to compete, possibly start if he beats out ATV in camp (but I really don't think ATV should be moved back, I think the kids great.) Also, not sure how I feel about Tommie/Coty playing a lot next year, I think they still need a bit more time.

If we could bring one of the below guys for two years or so, I think that could be great:

ESPN.com - Among the best cornerbacks available are Brent Grimes, Mike Jenkins, former Raiders Nnamdi Asomugha and DeAngelo Hall, Antoine Winfield, and San Diego’s Quentin Jammer. At this point, all of those players will likely be fairly affordable. (I agree with the bolded part, they shouldn't cost too much i think)

Who would you choose (this assumes that we continue to cut the fat and restructure some deals)?

Scrabble or Grimes are the 2 guys that I think could play outside for us.

I don't think we need to draft a guy that is more of a nickle back because I think Verner can play the nickle and also think the staff liked what they saw from Sensabaugh.

I think we might wait and see what happens in the draft.

I like Grimes a lot, I saw rumblings of him resigning but I don't think anything panned out.

Antoine Winfield & Quentin Jammer are the two I want us to target. Winfield was really good last year, but will also be 36 & Jammer will be 34.

I'd love to sign either of the team to a 2yr/4mil deal. Their vet exp would be huge for McC, Verner, and Sensabaugh. I'd also like for us to pickup a 3rd-5th round CB (Hawtorne from UOI is my choice). You can find value in later rounds for CBs, just look what we've found in McCourty (6th), Verner (4th), and Cary Williams (7th)... plus Ryan Mouton (LOL). Sign a vet for a couple years, let Sensabaugh/Rookie battle for time and get better. ATV is a FA next year, depending on his cost he's expendable and we'd have two young guys ready to take over.

I want a CB in the first 3 rounds has its a cheaper alternative to signing a guy in FA. In fact I would never try going into the FA looking for a CB, DE, or WR has you are almost guaranteed to overpay for a guy.

I would love to have Grimes, he is one of the most underrated corners in the game imo.

I've been dropping this name in all DB related threads, and I'll use his name again until he's signed somewhere, Antoine Winfield is the guy we should be looking at.

While he's not much different than what we have now, he's pretty much flawless in his game. A little slower than some might like, but he makes up for that a million other ways.

If we don't draft a CB high, I better hear we're looking into Antoine Winfield.
