... wow. At least 2 people that think Flacco and Eli Manning aren't mediocre?

I'm shocked. This board never ceases to amaze, though.

I would not want Eli or Flacco on my team, yea they have rings but they also aren't going to take you to the playoffs.

Titans interested in Jason Campbell and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Do you guys get what I'm saying now or is this still a terrible thread.

They did. Eli took his team all the way twice. Both times they were underdogs and neither time was that team considered great. Both times they were mediocre teams who got hot at the right time. But that doesn't take away from what they did. Teams like the Pats and the Chargers have often been considered the best team in the league and eventually lost to a team that got hot. They don't hand out trophies for the best regular season record. Those Giants teams were so bad they almost got their coach fired, they couldn't carry a feather. The team, Eli included raised their level of play.

Once you win 2 rings you can't call it luck anymore. In their playoff runs both he and Flacco made memorable plays that if they didn't pull off, the team loses. People who write Flacco off as just plain lucky often overlook the fact that he was a missed FG and a dropped TD catch away from being in the SB last year. He easily outplayed Tom Brady who is revered as if he was Jesus incarnate. You're entitled to your opinion, but these are the facts. Facts matter. Wins matter. And these guys win. I'll take a proven winner over a "gifted" guy every day.

I thought Eli was over-hyped because he was Peyton's little brother. I saw him struggle and thought he would never be a good QB. When he won the first one, I called it blind luck. After he won the second time I ate my humble pie and admitted I was wrong. When your opinion conflicts with the facts you have to check your opinion not try to spin the facts.

I agree with Eli to an extent. But he is still a very hot and cold QB that requires a ton of weapons around him in order to be successful. I honestly think they would be more consistent with a game manager back there. But in no way is Flacco anywhere near an elite QB.

This is still a terrible thread. Those guy are going to be second string because we just released our back up. If anything us releasing Hass probably shows confidence in Locker. We could bring in Campbell, who has struggled throughout his entire career or we could bring in Fitz, who is still making a living off of a few good games in St. Louis. Neither of these guys are going to make a push for the starting spot.
