$5M should get you a back-up QB, a nickle corner, and a new pair of Jordan's, and possibly a broken iphone.

Most back-up QB's are getting less than $1M

That's what I thought. Fitz is good but not that good. Let's go for something in the 1 mil range so we can get some money to Elvis.

I think we end up sitting very pretty if we nab a solid pass rusher in FA.

I like this move for a few reasons... If Hass wants to stay, he will literally take a huge paycut. We bring in Fitz who I think can outplay Locker and end up winning the starting job. He already has a relationship with Levitre and would have a phenominal backfield of CJ and Greene. This is a very good fit and makes ample room for DUMERVIL!

I think 2 mil is reasonable for a strong backup

Why not? How about because it would be totally insane to pay the 10-year veteran minimum for a player who would be inactive on game days.

I'm all for it. Hell, bring on the change! Besides being sacked a lot, his stats weren't that bad 2012. However, it makes too much sense to me so it probably won't happen...and Elvis?...no way we get that lucky.
