Jake has a very cheap contract, so even if he stinks as a starter, he'll be back for 2014

The accuracy thing is way overblown. Every quarterback in the league makes the occasional bad throw. Locker does it more than Brady or Peyton, but he also brings elements to the table that those players do not.

I posted this a week or two ago, but if you remove drops and throwaways from the statistics, Locker's accuracy rating for 2012 is very similar to Eli Manning and Joe Flacco. Both those guys have hovered around a 60% completion rate (with each dipping below multiple times) in their careers -- and both are Super Bowl MVPs. Eli didn't hit a 60% completion rate until his 5th season as a pro. Remember when everyone was calling him a potential bust? It's hard to believe after what he's done lately, but he was slow to develop.

It's way too early to be giving up on Locker. He has the mental strength to keep getting better.

To say that giving him a better o-line and run game is a lack of faith is absurd. It's called improving your team.

if Mark Sanchez is given 4 seasons (and now probably 5) to fail we should all just bite our lip for Jake who is going to enter his "2nd" starting season.

The impatience with some of you is incredible.

    It is.

... if you're going with sarcasm, you may want to choose another target.

No it isn't. He had accuracy issues in college. He clearly still has them 2 years in the league. What's overblown about it? the guy can't stand flat footed and hit a wide open target often times...

"Occasional"... yes. Locker "occasionally" makes a good throw though. That's the difference.

And the "elements" he brings that those players don't are what? Running?... Well that sure offsets it!

Oh yes!! LIKE ELI MANNING OR FLACCO!? We all know how awesome those QBs are! Everyone wants to have the "next Eli" on their team...

    Serious??

    - while neither should be. And even so- they're both understood to be Superbowl fluke performers. Hard to really take that seriously.

It's not too early. He simply doesn't have it. It's not hard to tell. We can hope he'll develop in to a "serviceable" QB, but that's his ceiling.

    This part is true.

Did you seriously just argue that teams wouldn't want to have either of the last two Super Bowl MVPs on their team?

... for any other game of the season?

    Absolutely I did.

Flacco and Eli both are mediocre at best.

So, addressing profoundly needed improvements means QB status is iffy?
I ain't buying it. These changes were needed no matter what.
    Nice try..
