Nah, he only bulks up for roles that demand it and usually is pretty normal. His character in Inception brought Bond to mind.

That said I'm not sure Hardy would be a great choice but he is an excellent actor.

If I had to pick the next Bond, Fassbender is my guy.

    Tom Hardy could play anything.

Including a revival of Liza Minelli's Sally Bowles.

Tom Hardy would be great in a Bond film - but naturally as the villain..

Tom Hardy couldn't play a Star Trek villain. And ironically enough almost the exact same character as Bane.

LOL never thought of it that way..
Still they were physically very different. Rick Berman could ruin a seasoned DDL in one fell swoop so a I blame a bad role for a very young Hardy on him.

Yeah I can't blame Hardy for a crappy movie. Actually thought he did well with what he had to work with.

But wow, the story of Bane and the story of Shinzon are incredibly similar.

Hardy was the only good thing about that Star Trek movie.

Tom Hardy is the only man on the planet who could play Charles Bronson AND Willie Wonka

Actually the special effects during the final battle scenes between starships was fantastic.

Too bad it was wasted on that horrible script and premise.

stopped by the theater last week and the only thing available at the time was some movie we'd never heard of called The Impossible. Based on a true story, it's an intense tragedy survival film about a family torn asunder by the 2004 tsunami. Lots of great cinematography and touchy-feely moments. Excellent film.
Con: the real family was Hispanic, as is the director; however they chose to cast Ewan Mcgregor and his family of Irish Australians living in Japan. Guess they figured brown people would disappear into the crowd too easy. Boy, we've come a long way.
