They're good enOugh in opinion. ..mainly because Ayers can play there too. It also helps that we signed sammie lee hill..I think him being in the game will free up our DEs more. Don't get me wrong, brinGing in a DE that is good against the run would still be nice, but I don't think we have to spend our first round pick on DE. Wimbley and Morgan are good starters and they have a lot of years left to get better.

I think we're done spending. There's virtually no depth at DE though. Hope they draft a decent one.

I'm always a bit nervous about taking a DE this early in the draft.. If we get a Javon Kearse out of it then wonderful, but I'd hate to have another Morgen =/

Maybe, but the guy the DC reports to, Greg Williams, is fine by me.

If he isn't Malcolm Sheppard, or a relative, I will jump in the river.

Cutting Amano and restructuring with Matt would be a great start.

Also, with those older guys (i.e. Freeny/Osi/John), the longer they take to sign, the cheaper the deal probably will be. We have now 5-7M which is not enough, especially when you factor in the rookies still to come.

However, doing just those two things from above should give us maybe another 6-10M(?) or so in cap space (IDN exactly to be honest). But enough to sign one of them to an affordable 1-2 year deal (maybe averaging 2M a year or something).

Assuming we can get 10M from cutting/restructuring that would put us back to healthy 15-17M over cap. Enough to sign the rookies (probably would take 5-7M) and a John (2M) while still leaving a bit of breathing room after (10M) after its all said and done - again as to not get 'floyd-ed' and keep some space free for more moves if needed (during draft / next season).
