Huge price to give up (a 1st round pick and a gigantic contract), but it makes a ton of sense for the Seahawks. They were already one of the best team's in the league on defense and this is the one missing piece that could turn them into one of the best teams on offense.

It's crazy how good the NFC West became almost overnight. Poor, poor Fishface.

Now maybe Harvin will be the one to catch the winning TD pass in the 2014 playoffs to send the Vikings home.

Why GMs trade players to someone within their conference is beyond me.

With his concussion history and bad attitude, I would never have traded a bunch of picks for him and certainly wouldn't give him a huge long term deal. Harvin has always been a selfish punk and will continue to be one.

Good move by the Seahawks, they are now stacked on both sides of the ball. Also props to the Vikings, they got a good deal for a guy who didn't wanna be there. They can land Jennings or Wallace and draft a WR with 1 of there 2 first round picks.

You have to make trades based on getting back the most value. Avoiding trades because of the extremely remote possibility that a non-divisional team will beat you in the playoffs based on one play by one single player is very foolish, IMO.

I can understand the idea of not trading your quarterback to a team in your division, because you'll have to play him twice a year and he'll be involved in every play.

That concept doesn't apply when you're talking about a positional player on a non-division team.

I think it makes alot of sense for both teams. Harvin wasn't happy in MN and now the Hawks are set, while there were some strong young WRs at the end of the 1st round, its hard to miss out on proven talent like Harvin. He was top WR in the league last yr until he got hurt. Plus, he is also a return guy. The Vikes can easily replace him in the draft now that they have the 23rd and 25th overall picks.

Brings up a great new argument, do the Vikes Draft a replacment or do they go after Wallace or Jennings? Harvin wasn't taking up alot of cap space still being on his rookie deal, so my guess is the draft
