You have to own a really high draft pick to acquire someone that special. If we go 8-8 next year, a mid first round pick might not be high enough to get that star player. I'm still leaning towards drafting Warmack over Patterson, I just think it's worth a bit of consideration at least, as Patterson will likely be there at 10.

If the Titans take a WR at 10 I will literally flip a table wherever I am, there is no way this front office can be that incompetent.

    btw Teddy Bridgewater >

Again, I highly doubt he will be there... And I hope I'm right.

How is he going to slip by the Raiders, Lions, Browns, Bills, and Jets? Surely one of those teams pulls the trigger.

Patterson has a ton of potential, but I guarantee there will be WRs as good or better than him every draft. We don't have to panic and act like we must have him even though WR is probably last on our list of big needs.

The past 2 years has been pretty weak at WR, this year has a lot more depth than last year but ask yourself this. Where does Patterson rank in the 2011 NFL draft?

Patterson will be a Jet if he makes it to them. They need WR help more than nearly anyone in the league. Their fans will riot if they pass on Cordarelle.

Patterson is not polished enough to be a top 10 pick. He is not Julio Jones or AJ green! He is not the BPA or could be the BPA at 10. There are 6-7 guys i would rather have.

We need to draft a WR who is polished like Hunter not yet another catch and run guy. Patterson has been compared to Percy Harvin and should be drafted in about the same area as Harvin, Harvin was a 22nd pick.

Hunter @ 39 a much better pick than Patterson at 10.

How can we compare the best guard prospect in a decade to the 10th best Wr prospect of the last 3 years?

We can't gamble this year on a lower level pick for the O Line because of the neglect of the position last year. Every draft pick is a GAMBLE, we need to get the BEST chance for a long time O Line starter.

I agree that we could certainly use some more help in the recieving corp but we can't gamble high in the draft this year. I'd like our scouts to earn their money and help us find the next Drew Bennett; a guy who just runs great routes and has great hands. Like Jordy Nelson; he will be there this year, just have to find him at the value level.

I wouldn't be mad at that pick but the guy I want is Robert Woods. You wanna talk about polish NO receiver in this draft is as polished as Robert Woods. Pristine route running, great hands, great production at a major university, and 4.4 speed? You don't normally get that in one guy specially in the second round.

Good o-lines are built a variety of ways. Early picks, developing late rd guys and picking up a key FA to fill a weak spot.

The Broncos have had one of the best lines in the league the last 2 seasons look at how they were built.

    Clady 12th pick
    Beadles-2nd rd
    Koppen FA
    Kuper 6th rd
    Franklin 2nd rd

    A 12th pick and 2 2nd rd picks.

In 2006 the Jets used 2 first rd picks on Ferguson and Mangold and it has served them well. Without those guys i doubt they make it to 2 straight afc title games.

Are we in a position right now to draft 3 mid rd guys and hope that 2 of them develops into better than average players? The o-line has been neglected since 2005. We have not used a 1st rd pick since Hopkins back in 1993. The time is now to make that commitment again.
