    TT couldn't hold Cook's jockstrap.

Scarecrow, is that Jenna Marbles as your avatar?

I have no idea, I just hope it makes people I argue with feel uncomfortable.

He will one day be our best blocker due to his athleticism and previous D-line play....

Craig right now is our best blocker and most consistent receiving TE as well... He has also really upped his game and didn't get lazy with that contract. In very limited time when given the chance to run routes and not block, he was very good and showed he's got some hands. He is our best TE as of right now (by far since he can do everything, and do it well).

With regards to TT, he reminds me a lot of Craig actually, just leaner and more athletic. Craig came out of college and transitioned very well to the NFL as an excellent blocker early on as did TT. But, remember Stevens also was a bad receiver and route runner too - he also dropped his fair share of passes.

His potential is very high as he is much faster and more agile than Craig. Also, his quickness will really help him to keep up with all these speed edge rushers your seeing now. He also looks to have the strength to handle the bigger guys as well. If he does every figure out how to run routes/catch, he can be the total package.

He's got 'Cook-ish' speed and athleticism, combined with 'Craig-ish' blocking prowess - teach this boy how to run and catch and he can be great for us.

I actually really like the pick, however, I don't think we needed to trade up for him. I think he woulda been there in the 4th or 5th....

We have already been lining TE's in the backfield - we did so quite a bit this season I think both under Palmer and Logan (we'll have three players lined up behind the QB - usually a TE, FB, and RB - usually it was Craig, Quinn and CJ). As he learns the game and ups his play time, you'll see him back there I think.

He looked a lot like a DE playing TE.

I am not against rolling the dice on some later round high risk/high reward players. Drafting conservative just nets us later round picks who become below average backups at best.

Completely agree. I don't think it was a bad pick. You gotta take shots like that. When one works out, it more than makes up for the one that didn't.

We took him in the 5th. We traded our 7th last year to move up a few spots in the 5th round to take him. We ended up trading this years 6th to someone (Minnesota maybe?) for their 7th last year to take Solomon.

This kid needs to spend 100% of his offseason on the jugs machine and running routes. Nothing else.

Maybe we should start off giving him some simpler routes/ways to get the ball in his hands. The one thing that worries me about him is the fact that he really has never had the football in his hands, which means he won't be very instictive about making moves, and could have trouble holding the ball. If we get the ball in his hands, then he can get more comfortable with that type of stuff. Start simple and let him work his way to more difficult patterns if he shows progress.

But really, I don't know what people expected from a DE turning TE ... I was surprised that he even saw the field last year. I was sure he would be a healthy scratch for AT LEAST 1 year, possibly 2.

im not against taking risky picks late either.

I am 100% against drafting someone and making them play a different position.

He wouldn't be able to play De in the pros tho. His best shot was the switch. I don't mind it. Most those late round picks are always high reward if it works out and honestly anything past a 4th I don't even care if they don't work out. You keep trying to find a hit, but don't get too tangled up on it.
