I figured it was bad. Had no idea it was that bad, but CJ is responsible for a ton of that money.

We always seem to overplay players who don't deserve as much and let the players walk who deserve to get a big contract with us (Mason and Finnegan are the main two). It could be worse. Overall, our players who walk go on to suck elsewhere.

The offensive production hurts considering the money they are taking up.

That's sad. And just goes to show you that this team has either been seriously mismanaged from a contracts standpoint, or very poorly coached. Most likely a bit of both.

Freaking Eugene Amano is getting over $5M to tackle Chris Johnson. Ravens might wanna sign him if we're smart enough to cut the useless bag of crap.

RB isn't bad compared to other teams, but we pay almost twice what the playoff teams do for the OL....

That's because we never draft OL very high anymore so we give out big contracts to re-sign Stewart and Roos and use free agency as patch work for the other positions. Oh and that Amano contract.

btw still think it was a good move to not bring back Finnegan. His attitude and leadership is missed but as far as his play go I think McCourty is just as good and if we can find a #2 guy and move Verner into the slot we have a very nice trio.

What is sad is that those numbers don't include a huge QB salary or a huge stud WR salary which most real good teams have. I have no problem paying our OTs what they make. But goodness, the draft is for getting quality in at a low cost and that is what we need to do on the interior of the OL. Stop paying guys like Amano and Hutch to be less than average. Use some 2-4th round picks every year or so and keep a stream of decent guys here.

Ideally it would be great to find a RT/LT who can play OG for a few years before moving outside. That seems like a nice way to develop talent while not having street people playing on the OL. It also seemslike in this day and time it is easier to find a solid RB late in the draft or FA easier than a C or OG. Eventually CJ is going to have to go. Yet, as bad as some want to slam CJ and his contract he earned his contract much more than Amano or Hutch did IMO.

Makes sense. Stewart and Roos are both overpaid for their production. Hasselbeck is getting a legendary backup QB contract. Kendall Wright and Britt are both first rounders.. as well as our current starting QB who shall remain nameless..
Amano is very overpaid. And there's CJ.

We have an offense full of overpaid high draft picks.

And Nate washington is very overpaid.

LOL at Harris making almost 4 million dollars this year.
