Well that was nice of him. If I am ever stabed it would be nice to have a friend like Kenny to bring me to the hosipital.

The more I see about this, the more I think the only person who I can be certain was wrong and acted with poor judgement is the person who stabbed Kenny's brother. If this person is really dangerous/has connections, Kenny could be making a smart move my keeping his mouth shut. For those of you who never had to survive the streets in gang-infested territory, zipping your lips is often best, because the police aren't going to protect you from retaliation. They might tell you they will, but then someone finds you in a dumpster with your throat cut.

    From the Tennessean article:

I don't blame Britt if he felt he needed a lawyer present when speaking with the police but he needs to deal with this before it's considered obstructing justice.

Damn right! Let's not criminalize the victim here. The criminal in this case is the one who stabbed someone. Also right about Kenny keeping his mouth shut. Especially since he still has family in the area. Connections or not. There are people who will come after you just because you are a snitch. Even if they had nothing to do with it.

Outlaw bikers run the crime in my area. And they have an old saying:

I live in Downtown Jersey City, about 10 minutes from where this incident took place. This section of JC is one of the worst sections, constantly in the news for robbery, muggings, stabbings and shootings. Britt is from Bayonne, the next town over from Jersey City. Obviously it is within Britt's right to go and do wherever and whatever he pleases however I would think that a high-profile, local athlete like himself would think twice before attending a house party in this section of town. Especially considering his track record. Britt may very well be 100% innocent in this incident, it just makes me scratch my head why he would even put himself in this type of situation.

He has a right to remain silent, involved or not that is a right that we all have as Americans. Would you take that away just because he is Kenny Britt. If he wasnt famous this would be a non issue. Now if you are calling him an idiot then yes 100% he is an idiot for partying in New Jersey, but he still has rights.

Meh. So we're using Pacman as the standard now?

Look, if the guy doesn't have the sack to tell his thug friends that he has too much on the line to be messing around anymore, then that's on him. That's my point. I know it's not easy cutting off certain friends, I've had to do it myself. But you're ultimately responsible for your own life and the choices you make. And that includes the company you keep.

And with all the run-ins he's had, it shouldn't take "something like what Ray Lewis went through" for him to get it. He's had like 9 "incidents" since becoming a Titan. And you KNOW, after every single one his coaches and mentors have had a talk with him about priorities and how fragile his career can be.

The guy flat out doesn't care. There's absolutely no excuse anymore aside from mental retardation. Which I'm not ruling out at this point.

I don't either. But as I said earlier, he could've had a lawyer over there in 5 minutes if he wanted. There's no reason he shouldn't have talked to police by now. Unless of course he's hiding something or involved somehow.

have to completely agree with sawdust even though he is a bit one sided at times...

if the dude cares, he wouldn't be running around with the wrong crowd... he would cut off his "friends" that are bringing him down and making himself look bad.. if Britt really cares, he would be home with his wife and daughter and support them as much as he can... doing what he's doing now is NOT helping them whatsoever... one wrong move and he could end up dead... then how is his family supposed to survive? all his choices have been selfish and idiotic, you can point the finger at his friends and such, but in the end, like sawdust says, this is his decisions
