Even Darrelle Revis needs SS help over the top.

Peyton still had 3,739 yards his ROOKIE season!!!!! and 26 touchdowns. He made a lot of mistakes, but corrected them.. Exactly what I expect Luck to do. BUT HE HAD THE GOODS. and everybody knew it.

And McNair was the best QB we've had here.. but honestly, he only had one great passing season... 2003. Manning and Luck had more TDs their rookie season than McNair did in ANY season. in fact... in Manning's WORST TD seasons, he had 2 more passing TDs than McNair did in his BEST season.

Anyways... I think people knew they were seeing something special with the two examples you mentioned... Plus this is more of a passers league than it was when Steve took over.

Steve was not a legendary passer.. but still worlds ahead of Locker at this point in his career, and I assume will continue to be.

Jake only played 10 games, Manning played 16 his first year starting. If Jake didn't get hurt there's no reason to think he wouldn't have had 3400-yards passing, and thats right on up there with Manning.

Terrible corners need a good SS just as much as good corners, right? So we don't know if McCourty is any good until he has a good SS backing him. You can't tell by just looking, right. McCourty and Griffin need great players around them just like Munch needs great coordinators around him.

Last year when Babs was still decent, McCourty looked like a Pro Bowler

McCourty is a good CB, not amazing, but certainly our best DB, he makes most plays he suppose to make. This is the NFL even Revis and Woodson let guys passed them sometimes.

And if you wanna continue to pretend McCourty is bad, well then talk to someone else about him cause IMO you don't know a good CB when you see one.

Well you're the only one who thinks he's good, so you're the only one to talk to about him. I've always thought he wasn't any good since he's been here. He's never done anything to show that he is good. The only thing he has that stands out is the number of tackles he has. That's because he always gives a huge cushion, back peddles at the snap, let's the receiver catch the ball, then tackles them. That's what I watch him do all year. Every now and then he will have a good game against QBs like Mark Sanchez, and he will pick about half of the balls that are thrown in his chest. He's perfect if you like to play the "bend, but don't break" method, while allowing the opposing team to have a long sustaining drive down the field leading to an eventual score. I'm not sure if you can put much into this, but Jerry Gray even said that we don't have the personell to play man to man.

Never speak to me again, you're eyes are broken, and your brain is too.

You think it's McCourty's fault he lines up so far back? Jerry Gray is a scared little boy, playing off is his idea.

J-Mac is as fast and tough as anyone, he can play man.

Verner played closer to his receivers than McCourty did. Makes me think he was backing off more than he was told. If McCourty really wanted to play man to man, he would be playing man to man. He's too stiff in the hips. He's not able to react fast enough against double moves. He plays scared. He is fine on straight line routs and come backs. But when the good receivers start putting moves on him, he can't hang with them. He gets left by himself.

What? Lmao I have a good reason to think it....all the 140 yard games he starts every snap of. In fact, half of his starts last season henthrew formless then 200 yards. Are you kidding right now?
