Munch: Steve Hutchinson has likely considered retirement

Velasco had a great year, people slept on that. He's was our best offensive lineman all year. Which, isn't saying much considering how bad our OL was.

both Ts need too move inside if they can. Or Roos could be moved back too RT.

I want an early T move Roos too RT and Stewart too RG. Velasco at C and Harris at LG, but have competition for C and LG from amongst Mathews, Stingley, Otto and hopefully at least 1 UFA)

 

If that's the case, get Lewan from Michigan. Dude held his own against Clowney yesterday. The times that Clowney did beat him were on broken plays. That's saying a lot for the kid. And tackle is the only way we go o line in the first

 

I hear ya man. I think though if we give Lutui a chance to spend the off and pre season with the team he could be even better. Look at how good he was joining the team cold. At the very least I would like to see a training camp battle between him and Velasco. Then let the best man win.

Well said. Him and Roos were the only ones on the line that looked to be holding their own...Hutch, Stewart, and Harris SUCKED. When you get paid what they do, you can't play that poorly. Lutui and Matthews were pretty bad too, but they don't get paid to play great so I was understanding.

The only reason I'm for bringing Stewart back is because he's given us so many good years. I really hope he bounces back next season...

 

Im not against moving Stewart to Right Guard, but don't move Roos from Left Tackle...he has too much muscle memory from Left Tackle for it to work...Moving Stewart to right guard seems ideal to me. Besides, Roos didn't do that bad this season seeing that he was playing next to dumb and dumber

I've said it before, don't be surprised if we draft Matthews....I'm sure Bruce is campaigning for it 24/7 and Munch is probably too nice to tell him off

 

Mathews is returning. Thankfully.

 

Yea this experiment didn't work well at all. We need at least one new starting guard next year. Not sure Lutui is the answer...
