Titans middle linebacker Colin McCarthy, who’s missed the last three games with a concussion, was a limited practice participant on Wednesday and may be on the way to playing against Green Bay on Sunday.

“We’ll let him go through a normal practice tomorrow with no restrictions and see how he is,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “If he goes through tomorrow and does everything, then we’re assuming he’ll be fine.

“We’ll just have to watch him, take another look on Friday, to make sure nothing comes up. But from all the activity he’s been doing the last couple of days … we’re assuming he has a good chance of moving forward.”

Other injuries for the Titans: wide receiver Kendall Wright (rib), cornerback Ryan Mouton (hamstring), center Kevin Matthews (ankle) and defensive end Scott Solomon (knee) did not practice; wide receivers Kenny Britt (knee) and Damian Williams (hamstring) were limited.

Wright has a cracked rib and is unlikely to play on Sunday, but Munchak said he may be ready for the season finale. Williams missed the last two games, but Munchak said he’s progressing quicker than expected.

Mouton may have to rest his hamstring this week. Solomon will likely see some practice time the next couple of days before a decision is made on him for Sunday.

I was stoked for McCarthy after preseason and first part of regular season. Now I'm kind of over him. I like what he can bring but it appears that he will not stay healthy. Hopefully this season is just a fluke and this will never happen again. I hate to see players taking up a roster spot that have continual injuries and health issues. I realize that he can't help that he had a concussion and only hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Making progress towards what? Training camp? Love the guy but I think we need to move on from him.

I see no reason for the guy to suit up the rest of the year. Why risk another injury?

McCarthy fell in the draft because he was always injured at Miami. This guy has a history of staying hurt, I think its time to just move on. Some guys just tend to be unlucky with the injury bug

If he gets hurt again he'll have all winter to heal up, I say let him play.

If he is plagued, I wouldn't cut him, just turn him into a backup.

Agreed, the guy can play for the most part but its hard to build a defense around a player that has a hard time staying on the field. Outside of being a headcase that was my main issue with VY. Always seemed to get hurt or have some nagging injury. You want your MLB to be a badass tough gritty player, but right now we cant depend on McCarthy to play all 16 games
