I'm done with Jared Cook. I hope we don't waste our money on him. I like the guy, I just can't stand the drops, complaining, and injury concerns... then he has one good play every couple games.

I don't have a problem with Velasco, i'm sure you can get better but after Amano, Velasco looks like a pro-bowler...

Also, i'm pretty sure we will be WAY under th cap next year (and thats not including the possible cuts of Hasselbeck and Amano). I dont think we'll cut CJ and we wont be able to trade Griffin.

Honestly i don't think we need to worry about signing oline FA, but i would prefer we draft 1-2 guys to start learning at the G/C/T positions.

Call me crazy but i think we should go after Rey Maualuga...but we won't. I love McCarthy but he is always injured.

Go after Dashon Goldson - can he play SS? I would think so. He'll probably resign with SF though.

I don't see us cutting Hasselbeck. Even though he doesn't play, having him basically teach Locker is worth the money.

    like

    like, but unrealistic

I actually think we should pay him his huge bonus and just keep him. Mainly impressed with his the improvement in his catching ability.

Dislike. He drops too many easy ones and I didn't like his wanting to be traded.

    Why?

    like.

Dislike. Nate and Kendall are good and Britt still has a year remaining on rookie contract.

    like

No way we have 4 first round picks even if we traded those you suggested. DE/DT is priority first round. Interior O-line in 2nd,3rd, or 4th round.

Not sure if you're being serious or not......... but:

    2012: 33 rec, 210 y, 0 TDs

Career lows (still have 3 games)

I mainly hope this off-season brings us some experience to the coaching staff. I either want to see a proven HC as the new HC or a hot commodity coordinator get a chance. And I'd like to see proven guys take over OC/DC

Let's be realistic guys about how our 2013 roster will look like..

    QB - Locker
    RB - CJ
    WRs - Britt/Washinton/Wright
TE - Hopefully we bring Cook back..
    LT - Roos
    RT - Stewart
    LG - Hutchinson
    C - ??
    RG - ??

    DT - Casey / ??
    DE - Morgan / Wimbley / ??
    LBs - Mccarthy, Ayers, Brown
CBs - Mccourty, Verner, Mouton, Sensabaugh & Campbell
    SS - ??
    FS - Griffin
    K - Bironas
    P - Kern

I think Griffin & CJ stick.. We should keep Cook, we can't afford to willingly open up another hole on this team when there's already so many. Although I'd say we have 3 holes on the OL (both Gs & C) I'll be satisfied with upgrading 2 of them.

Although Marks/Martin/Klug have all looked decent at times, we shouldn't COUNT on them. We need to pair another big run stuffing DT next to Casey. I'll be *satisfied* if we don't do that only if we add a MONSTER DE. I admit to LOVING Martin's potential going forward.

Wimbley & Morgan have both looked decent and are worth keeping around next year, but we need to find a double digit sack man at the DE pos. this off-season. It very well may come via 1st round pick in Montgomery or Werner.

I think we're fine at CBs, Mccourty & Verner are solid starters. One of those young CBs already on the roster will develop into at least a satisfactory nickel.

I just don't see us filling both FS & SS this season. I have a feeling Griff sticks but we obviously replace Babineaux

I've actually been impressed with Velasco but we do need more OL depth.

I want to address the Defensive End issue that I keep seeing on this board. IF WE DON'T HAVE A TACKLE(S) THAT CAN PUSH THE POCKET THEN A HIGH-PRICED DEFENSIVE END WON'T HELP. Our issue with pass rush is not that the defensive ends cannot get an upfield rush, the issue is that opposing quarterbacks can step up in the pocket and still make plays.

Do we need Defensive end depth? Absolutely, but if our defensive tackles cannot get an upfield push and continue to be dominated one on one then it won't matter who we bring in the results will be the same.

WE ARE LOSING GAMES IN THE TRENCHES.

Let's focus on solutions not band-aids. The solution would be a stout defensive tackle that can get upfield and push the pocket (Star Lotulelei, Johnathan Hankins, etc. ...).

The only way to make this happen is to be aggressive in this upcoming draft, if we are not selecting in the top 3. Now let me clarify, I would only take Star Lotulelei if we had one of the top 3 picks. If we are in the 5-10 range, then I would select Johnathan Hankins.

Then I would do something unheard of from the Titans front office, I would trade back into the first round to select Chance Warmack. He is the left guard from Alabama (please watch any clips on him and you will see he is worth it). Those two selections (if they play to their potential) put us back into contention next year to win the division.

This for starters is all you can ask for. A Star and a Chance (2013 marketing campaign).

Why would you not take Star if he fell? Also, where does that other 1st round pick come from?
