What's Jake Locker's Destiny?

I had to laugh at that.

 

Who ever said Locker was going to be like Aaron Rodgers? I think his absolute best-case scenario is Brett Favre -- he'll make some absolutely horrible passes, but then go back out there and keep chucking it. In Favre's best years, he was a great player.

 

That's who I've always compared him to. Locker doesn't make the throws that Brett made yet. Hopefully in the future but last game he looked stinky.

 

He was mostly terrible against the Texans, but threw a few balls that were REALLY nice. The big play to Nate was beautiful.

 

A few times this year he's been awful when it mattered and then in garbage time he's piled up the stats. Wish he could get off to a good start although it's about 50/50 blame with the receivers I think.

 

I expected to see more out of him, he had some good flashes last year.

 

Weren't all three of his INTs tipped passes? It's not like he just threw it right to the defenders or made horrible reads.

The fumbles are more concerning to me.

 

I was not pleased when we drafted him 8th overall two years ago. However, now I think it was the right decision. QBs usually need a few years to reach their full potential. This is his first year as a starter and I think he handled it quite well.
One thing is obvious when I see him play; he is a football player, not a ***** (Hello VY). He is smart and he is already better in reading coverages than VY ever will be. All he needs now is time and a OC that knows what the hell he is doing.

 

When it matters most he sucks end of story. Until he can prove that he can be clutch, then he will forever be a scrub that will never lead us to the playoffs!
