Have you ever watched Te'o play, or are you just the typical ND hater?

    Oh, and i'd agree Jones > Te'o

The only thing that worries me about Teo is his defensive line is really good, especially up the middle. They do an excellent job of keeping him clean and allowing him to make plays. Our tackles kind of suck...

Stephon Tuitt is unbelievably good. He'll be a top pick in 2013 for sure. Our tackles dont suck, Jurrell Casey is a legit run stopper. Problem is, Casey/Marks play 90% of the snaps, which is INSANE for a DT. Gotta have a rotation and keep them fresh.

Here's why I like Manti Te'o. What do we need this offseason,

    Playmakers (specifically on D)
    Enhanced Pass Rushing
    Offensive Line
    Safties

Te'o proves the playmaker, and has potential to be one of the best LBs in the NFL. Getting Te'o allows us to move Ayers to FULL-TIME DE. Ayers & Wimbley are the same size, so don't say he can't do it. The problem why Wimbley isn't getting the production, is that there is no rotation. Wimbley needs a break to give 100% on every play. It's unbelievable how much that helps. Ayers, Morgan, Wimbley would make a solid 3-man rotation, giving them each a good # of snaps. Te'o potential fixes the pass-rush and playmaker issues. Pair this with getting OL/S in the following rounds or FA, and I think we could be decent (if we get a new DC).

Also, with McCarthys injury issues.. chances are he'll get hurt again. Te'o can fill-in at MLB then as well, when we're in nickle situations. Or, if we get a DC who doesn't run the nickle crap all the time, that would be nice.

Don't say its not possible because we're 'set' at LB. Look at WR last year, we have Kenny, Nate, Williams, and just paid Hawkins to stay. Paired with Cook who lines up in the slot occassionally. We had targets. Even though Kenny was hurt and had injury questions, so does McCarthy. We had Nate and Williams coming off career years.. what did we do? Kendall Wright, another WR.

    1st Rd: Te'o
    2nd Rd: OG/C/S
    3rd Rd: OG/C/S

Free agency targets: Q Jammer & J Byrd

It would be AMAZING if we could ax Griff, and pay Byrd (the 3rd best S in the NFL). Pair him with a rookie safety, and add in Q Jammer for a vet CB to help with the growth of our younger corners. Then land Ron Rivera (if fired) to be our DC. We could become one of the best Ds, in a Texans/WadePhillips-esque turnaround.

They didn't rotate against the Jags because they were playing no huddle mostly. I think they typically rotate a good bit.

The last few games Klug and Martins snaps have been dramatically reduced. Klug played 3 snaps and got a sack. Martin played 6 snaps. They didn't do no huddle for the entire game for our starting DTs to consume 95% of the snaps.

I don't really have a problem with the rotation with the Jags. The Titans owned time of possession and the Jags are pretty much a three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust offense.

The most recent WalterFootball mock has Titans taking...

    1) Werner
    2) Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
    3) Robert Lester, S, Alabama

I'm not in love with Werner. Poyer is good, but Eric Reid is still on the board in that mock, as well as Shariff Floyd, Margus Hunt, and Jesse Williams at DL.

If the Titans aren't top 10, I want Chance Warmack. They also have Carradine dropping to the 3rd round after Saturday. If the Titans don't touch a DT in the first 3 rounds, I want Jordan Hill from Penn State in the 4th. He had one of the most dominant games I've ever watched against Wisconsin, all while banged up --- 12 tackles, 3 TFL, and 2 sacks.
