That guys is going to go pretty high I think. He is going to be one of the top backs in the draft. I think we have more pressing needs than to spend a high draft pick on a complimentary back.

Not sure what he's projected as, but him being injured is definitely going to drop his stock. Happens every year- a guy that didn't play much the year before falls.

So hoping that happens. Thing is- I think he could eventually be the feature back. Especially with how versatile he is.

Burkhead is a good back. As a Huskers fan I've seen a bit of him and he is a very solid, smart player.

Not sure I would label him a power back but he will be a good addition to some team.

Harper was supposed to be the bruiser. Instead he's preparing for dancing with the stars.

    Idiot.

Most of us got used to making Lendale White the butt of a lot of jokes but we have yet to get another back in here since that helped as much as he did in the running game.CJ and White together were successful and we should go back to that type of running game using a bruising back to wear down the defense then sending CJ in to slice through tired defenses. Why not try and get a good physical back in here and go back to the smash and dash type running game? We can still have a good passing game too and with Locker in at QB the smash and dash could work quite well. Also with CJ now having played a half decade it would only be wise to bring in some help in the running game. It's also pretty clear that we need to move on from both Ringer and Harper. Both of those did not pan out so what would be the best thing to do bring in a veteran in free agency or try and go back to the draft once again and see if any mid rounders are worth taking.

The guy they promoted today from the practice squad is 6 ft, 227 who seems to be a between the tackles, pound the rock, kind of player. If Harper can't go, he'll be active and might get some short yardage opportunities.

LW cared more about eating than his career, he could not stay in shape. He was a bum, loser, and a waste of a draft pick.

Hes still the butt of jokes and always will be to me.

All i'm saying is the two back system they had back in '08 with White and CJ worked very well and we could probably go back to using something similar to that in the running game.It would be good for different reasons and one is CJ soon to be in his sixth year would help prolong his career not to mention bringing in a fresh physical back to wear down the opposing defense. It would just seem like the logical thing to do.We could split up some of C.J.'s carries with a young physical back which would help the team and help CJ in the long run. With Locker at QB this could definitely work.

Let's hope so. If he proves to be worth anything, Harper is gone after the season. Ringer probably too.
