As others have said, it is WAY too soon to judge the 2012 class. After last year everyone was saying that Cam Newton was the greatest QB of all time ... now what are they saying about him? Same with so many other QBs. VY was ROY and is now unemployed. A good rookie year is nice and all, but that means so little in the long run.

That being said, I think it is also too early to judge the 2004 class as being the GOAT. Obviously it was a very good class. Manning and Big Ben already have their rings, and could be HoF QBs after its all said and done, but its not done yet.

As far as Schaub and Rivers ... they shouldn't be mentioned on this list IMO. Neither will ever be in the HoF. They have both put up some good stats, but Schaub has still never even been to the playoffs (remember he was injured last year) and for the majority of career he has given the Texans hope only to meltdown at the end of the year. Rivers has benefited from being in a garbage division for his whole career.

So right now I am going with '83

It is too soon to throw the 2012 draft class in on this debate, but it clearly has the potential to be the best of all time.

RG3 and Luck are incredible. I don't think either of them are the type to disappear after their rookie seasons. Then you have Wilson who has been really good. Even Tannehill and Weeden have been far better than what I expected them to be. I do believe Tannehill will be a bust (as I did before the draft) though. Weeden could actually be better if they got him some weapons. I guess the same could be said for Tannehill.

Well Weeden is about ready to retire already so I wouldn't expect much more from him

kind of hard to go against a class that has 3 hall of famers.

Granted Eli and Rapesberger probably have a chance at making it and as far as Rivers goes.. :biglaugh:

I was looking at Cam's numbers. His interception rate is the same. His rushing yardage is about the same and his passing yardage per attempt is up. He just isn't scoring touchdowns and making big plays at the same rate. I think a large part of that is people learning to defend him.

I think the criticisms are from his attitude (totally his fault and will be his downfall if he doesn't grow up, like VY) and from expectations (not really fair). Of course, he does need to show improvement.
