    *shakes head*

The guy has been the best run/coverage LB on the team this year. If you will note, this move has coincided with Zach Brown stepping up and McCarthy coming back. Without depth at LB, they cannot afford to rush Ayers.

and without rushing Ayers we don't get a pass rush...it works both ways and considering Ayers has stepped up why is he not getting the snaps? I mean we were super thin at the position a couple weeks ago and he stepped up so you would think he would get more playing time now.

You're wrong brother. The majority of the time were in nickle amd zB/McC are our nickle LBs and Ayers on the bench. Now they have him replace Morgan at DE.

He's definitely a piece to build around. He'd surely have a job if the next D-Coordinator went 3-4

Yeah he would be a beastly 3-4 player.

I have a theory that it only takes 5-6 good players to make a 3-4 defense work. Lets face it, Jerry Grays scheme has made it incredibly hard to win games this year. Doing what he wants would take 15 players so he's most likely out. And Chris Palmer's offense can't score 35-40 points every week, so if this year is lost (and it may soon be) then we're going to go into experiment mode here pretty soon.

I'd like to find out what we can do when Ayers is always pass rushing. So Gray needs to help us and destroy all the bad he's built and morph into a 3-4 guy.

Derick Morgan already commands double teams, so I feel like he could stick as a 3-4 DE, Wimbley on the other hand may have to go back to OLB, and McCarthy and Brown hold down the middle.

Casey and Martin are big guys, they could become NT's and Klug is light so he goes to DE. Klug is relentless, and has the motor to make it work.

Sometimes youve got to take a step back before you can take any forwards. Right now this defense is bleeding, pretty soon we'll be hemorrhaging and then we're dead. I don't want us to lose all hope of having a good season. Lets do something before its too late.

eWhy rotate him at end??? To Titans coaches the past 10 years or so: You are allowed to rush more than the front 4, and Michael Griffin. This isn't the Pro Bowl.

    wasn't responding to ur post.

"In the two weeks since he was moved into the defensive end rotation on passing downs, linebacker Akeem Ayers has responded with two sacks and three quarterback pressures.
    ........
A key to moving Ayers to defensive end in passing situations has been the improvement of rookie Zach Brown, who has been able to assume nickel linebacker responsibilities alongside Colin McCarthy."
