I really don't see the point in bringing Locker back this season. The Titans are 3-6 and will need to finish 6-1 if not run the table to make the playoffs. And anyone that's watched two minutes of any Titans' game this year knows that aint happening. Locker needs to be shut down for the year and have the operation. Yes he will enter his third season basically a rookie. But hey, he'll have a Pro Bowl back (that its pretty clear at least to me that they need to hang on to another season), a solid receiver core, and hopefully a Pro Bowl caliber TE that hopefully they're smart enough to resign. No need to throw Locker out there in a lost season, get him hurt, and not have him to begin next year.

I would like to see Jake play and get into a rhythm with his teammates. We probably aren't making the playoffs this year, but if we could string together some wins and get Jake's and the team's confidence up, that could carry over into next year.

There is absolutely zero point in sticking with Hass for another game. If they did decide to shut Jake down for the year then I would rather them go with Rusty. Hass is who I though he was not bad not good, just average. This team is going nowhere with an average QB so we might as well see what we got.

You do realize that if locker is injured and has to undergo the operation, we'll be stick with that average qb you're refering to for at least half of next season, maybe even longer.

Not really. Everything I have heard is that if he has to get surgery the recovery time is ~4 months. The only way he would miss any of next season would be if he opted to get the surgery in mid-May, which would be super retarded. For him to miss half the season as you suggested, he would have to get the surgery in like Aug or Sept ... even more super retarded.

If he does get the surgery it would either be (A) Right after the season is over in January, which has him coming back in the April-May time frame, or (B) immediately after he gets re-injured, which would have him coming back even sooner.

Unless you're a dr or in the ttans' organization, have no way of knocking exactly what's wrong with his shoulder. Furthermore, its possible playing on it while itt healthy could injure it more. Either way, I don't see the point in throwing him out there below 100% in a season that isnoing anywhere. I mean really, let's say he comes back, lights a spark, and the titans. Sneak into the playoffs. The only thing that is gonna happen is they're gonna get the doors blown off them in the first round. There is 0% chance the Titans make a deep plaoff run this year. So even take the risk of putting your supposed franchise QB in harm's way.

    fractured his shoulder...
....so what you're saying is since we're not going to win a superbowl... we should sit Locker... so next year we're probably not going to win one either... so we're going to sit him the whole season as well? and the next... and the next....
only one team wins the superbowl... so the others should sit their starting QB huh... hey, lets go tell the saints that they need to sit Brees since they're not going to the superbowl or even maybe the playoffs..

This isn't about getting to the playoffs. It's about playing the guy you drafted to be your franchise QB who is more than halfway through his second year with very limited experience. There is a lot riding on whether Jake is the guy or not. He needs to see NFL defenses, he needs to become familiar with the speed of the game, he needs chemistry with the offense. Bottom line, he needs experience.

If he is 100% healthy he needs to play. I doubt Palmer is here next year but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's basically a rookie. If he gets hurt again then you shut him down for the rest of the season and he takes care of that shoulder. But you don't sit him on the bench because there's a possibility something may happen. If a doctor says he's good to go, he plays.

Locker has a chronic issue that can only be repaired through a surgical procedure. Without the operation, its not a matter of if happens but when. Why subject the kid to that on a team that isn't going anywhere. The truth is, the Titans may be the worst team in the NFL. They are not even competitive in games, which means Locker will be put in situations where he's always gonna be playing from behind, having to throw a lot of passes, and playing against D-linemen that will have their ears pinned back for the majoityof the game. Not exactly the position you're wanting to put your fragile, supposed franchise QB, IMHO.
