Why do a lot of the fans on here call Bud a cheap SOB?

The only thing I've seen him really screw up on was Mike Munchak...Are there more instances where he's been a cheap SOB? Seems like a lot of players have had max contracts, we're brought in big names even when they didn't pan out and he wants to win...Someone please explain.

 

He let george walk, mason, kearse , samari rolle, and finnigan. Most of those players went on to continue to be great after they left. Bud was too cheap to offer them what they deserve.

 

And dont forget the Steve Mcnair fiasco

i don't want the players gone. I think we have a talented core group of players, but they're just being mismanaged. I wouldn't mind an overhaul of the staff. It's obvious Jerry Gray's "System" isn't fit for an NFL level style of play and Palmer's system doesn't seem to be fitting our offensive personnel. I really want Munch to succeed because he seems like a guy who has given so much to this organization. All that said, I don't want Munch to continue to be a mediocre HC when this team could easily make the playoffs if it was better coached. I'd like to see Palmer and Gray go and then from there evaluate how Munch does.

Even though I stand by my previous statement in that all those turnovers are on the players (doesn't matter what scheme you run, if you can't hold on to the damn ball, it just wont matter), I want a top level coach regardless....

I also really like Mike and don't want him to leave the organization, the dude is a class act from top to bottom. With that said, having him run our O-Line again and making it consistently a top line in the league is perhaps the best thing he can do in helping us get a ring....
