We have been hearing from a few people on the team, Palmer, Cook, CJ, and Britt about weapons we have and how dynamic our offense is. I wanted to make a thread about what people think about this dynamic offense because I believe we have been underachieving on offense. Just rolling some numbers out there. But I do believe we can have a top 10 offense in the making.

    21st overall in PPG - 20.3
    24th overall in YPG - 326.6
    16th overall in PYPG - 235.4
    25th overall in RYPG - 91.3
    26th overall in 1st Downs PG - 17.9

Since we know how our defense is playing, coming into the season I would think our offense would be a really good one. Our Line is playing better, our quarterback play is better and our run game is better. Anybody have any thoughts on whats going on here. How does a team like the Dolts put up more offensive stats then us. We have CJ, Britt, Wright, Cook, Nate, Stevens, and a decent QB. Id put that up against Wayne, Fleener, Brown, Avery, Ballard, Luck.

I wouldn't. I'd take Wayne, Fleener, Brown, Avery, Ballard, and Luck and the reason is; the game revolves around the QB, Andrew Luck is better than Matt Hasselbeck because he can extend plays and frustrate the life out of defenses.

Thats what made Vince Young any good, as Trent Dilfer loves to say "he turns stinky sandwiches into ice cream cones".

Hasselbeck can't turn sacks into 1st downs the way Luck can. It's really that simple. Once Jake comes back maybe we start doing this and become more consistent.

since i did martial arts... i still have a few weapons like swords, the bo and the nunchuck... however, i did live in west virginia, and those guys are full on "right to bear arms" guys... if i visit a friend, they'll have 12 gauges and such all locked up waiting for deer season... some even keep them right beside their beds... man.. you want to go to a huntin' state, go to west virginia... deers everywhere...

But we should absolutely be better than we are, we do have the weapons.

When C.J. and the run game is firing on all cylinders we can start talking about being better.

We have too many targets and a QB that holds back this offense right now. The QB is the ceiling of an offense. No matter how many awesome pieces of tootsie rolls, that turd in the middle still sucks.

I saw a guy use one he bought from a comic book store, when he went to swing it it fell apart.

I don't think you can ever have too many weapons. It's just that our main issue is QB, and ours at the moment is only so good. He's also 1 dimensional.
