Tight end Jared Cook wasn’t the only skill player for the Titans to leave yesterday’s game frustrated.

Wide receiver Kenny Britt skipped Sunday’s postgame media availability, but said Monday that he felt he could have been used more often during the 19-13 overtime loss to Indianapolis.

Officially, Britt was targeted five times and made three receptions for 34 yards. But those totals don’t include his two catches that were negated due to offensive pass interference – one for 43 yards and the other for 22.

“I think I could have played a better game,” Britt said. “I think I could have helped the team out more out there. I wanted to be more involved in the play-calling, especially in the second half. But we have players all over the field that can make plays. We just didn’t execute the way we wanted to.”

Britt felt the Titans should have taken more deep shots in the game.

“We had lot of man-to-man coverage,” Britt said. “We threw the ball down the field. We took some shots and made some plays down the field, but I think we should have taken a little bit more, knowing that one of their starting corners got hurt.

“I think we got a little discouraged about the offensive pass interference calls and I believe we should have thrown it more down the field and hit their weak points.”

Britt was limping in the locker room on Monday and said he had an MRI taken of his troublesome knee.

“The doctor said everything looks good, looks healthy,” Britt said. “I landed (awkwardly) a couple of times yesterday and just wanted to check up and make sure. But I’ll be playing on Sunday.”

Titans coach Mike Munchak said the team is closely monitoring Britt during games, as he’s still not 100 percent following three offseason knee surgeries.

“We’re trying to watch his reps so it’s not too much,” Munchak said of Britt, who played 38 of 59 offensive snaps. “You’ll see us alternate him in our offense. (Receivers coach) Dave Ragone is down on the sidelines trying to make sure we’re not overworking him. It’s easy to do because you want to get all your playmakers on the field.

“I heard he was sore when the game ended, but at this point, we don’t have him ruled out by any means and we’re assuming he’ll be okay on Sunday.”

Echoing what offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said last week, Munchak said Britt may not be back to full strength until next season.

“I think this (first year after surgery), for a lot of guys when they’re coming off the ACL, there’s a lot of ups and downs and soreness, working through things,” Munchak said. “It’s all so new to them. And now he’s trying to get back to the type of form he’s used to playing at. He’s used to being at a high level and he’s trying to work his way back to that.

“That’s hard to do. It’s a process and this is part of the process, that he’s going to have some games where he’s sore one week and have to work through it and rehab it and get his strength back and do those kind of things.”

Britt should be frustrated—he can't stay on the field and, when he does, he's not getting it done. The second PI was questionable but he's just seen it called twice so knows he's not going to get away with anything.

Really? So he's somehow responsible for the injury last season?
