    Just curious because I forgot...what would we have had to give up to get him?

    Felt like then and feels like now would have been a solid #1 guys for our defense. Oh that's right our FO normally has no balls. Although not blowing our load on Mario Williams seems great in hindsight at least. Really missing the toughness Finnegan brought and along with many people on here was mistaken how much we would miss him. Don't understand paying mccourty but not him.

    7th wasn't it?

    I doubt even he would be any good here if Gray has him playing from the endzone.

    7th round pick.

    But really corner is one of those positions that really rely on those around them. I doubt he would have made much a difference with this defense. Still, I would have like to have had him for a 7th.

    Can you guys imagine having Finny, Samuel, McCourty, and Verner on our team? Pipe dream but I am allowed.....

    We would've had to give up Scott Solomon.

    I know it's hard to imagine our team without Solomon on it. Our front office just felt like they'd rather draft a guy that we'll cut within a couple seasons instead of trading for a CB that leads the league in INTs over the last 7 years.

    It's hard to blame our FO for not wanting to give up a 7th round pick. Scott Solomon definitely makes our team better than Asante Samuel would.

    Haha, yea but still, Asante is on Griffin's level. You want two of those running around our defensive backfield?

    Asante is good in zone defense. He takes a lot of risks but sometimes they pay off big!
