    Yes the team has looked awful and our wins don't look good. Even with that reality, this team has bought time.

    We can easily be 4-4 after next week's home game.

    Only two AFC teams better than 4-3 and unfortunately one is the Texans. But that means there are a lot of teams with question marks like the Titans. There is reason for optimism amongst the special teams and offense in general, if the D can get it together the playoffs are easily in reach.


    Do I really believe that will happen based on what I've seen, no. But a win today gave us a chance and I'm excited to at least see what this team can bring for the rest of the season.

    The only thing making me wonder is the way we have won these games.

    Last minute, off turnovers.......not good ways to win ball games.

    It is obvious our offense is very talented, but this defense needs to become JUST slightly below average. We cannot keep relying on McCourty to get a last minute interception, putting Bironas in position with the game on the line, and relying on special teams. In order for us to go into the postseason, that has to stop. We have the talent, its the coaching, and during the season that is the easiest thing to fix from that standpoint.

    Like this program just said, the Giants won the Super Bowl at 9-7 and at one point lost 5 in a row. We are capable.

    K.Wright is rookie receiver of year. Nate Washington is good. Stevens and Cook have done well for the most part. Hasselbeck limited (and got lucky) not making mistakes. O-line looks better. CJ looks really good again but I am hesitant with too much praise since today was crappy Bills D. Kern, Bironas, and Reynaud all are doing good special team work.

    There were plays here and there from Morgan, Wimbley, Ayers, and Brown. Overall the D has to improve drastically.

    We need to get Cook more involved somehow. He seems to get everything, and outside of that drop today, he has been great when on the field. I hope Britt comes into his own again, but until then take advantage of his height.

    Like you said, the D needs to be more consistent. We don't get a pass rush with the front 4, but when we send some linebackers I notice we end up getting good pressure. Well, KEEP SENDING THEM. Its insane to see how well our D plays when we blitz and play tight coverage compared to when we don't. If we end up getting burned for being too aggressive then oh well, they seem to still put up anything they want if we play soft.

    Yes we do have a good chance. It's crazy what just one win could do. If we lost today, I highly doubt we had a chance to make the playoffs. Being that we won, we are still in it.

    I'm going to officially say that we will be 4-4 come next week.

    Being .500 come next week is completely acceptable to me. Who would of thought after watching the few games at the start we would be optimistic about being in it at the end.

    Also, I'm glad the Steelers play the Bengals tonight, because someone will drop deeper down the rankings, therefore giving us a better chance.

    Agree with Cook.

    Britt is nothing to me. I would rely on Nate, Cook, Wright as primary targets and let Britt sneak up on people. Not sure what is left on Britt's contract but I can't imagine he will be a Titan longterm. I think Nate and Wright look like they care and want to succeed here.

    Yep might as well be aggressive is every drive is a score anyway. A big problem is tackling. Babineux had a good play late but he didn't even try on a few tackles. You can tell the few guys out there really giving it their all.

    Don't you dare think about changing your avatar. It should be on the Bud Light Superstition commercial.

    Nevertheless, the brute of our schedule is past us now and we really just have 2 or 3 difficult games left. If the D can get it together and play decent the rest of the year, we might be able to sneak in as a WC.

    We showed a bunch of heart today and I hope it continues.
