I thought Kuechly was doing really well.

He has been mostly average, I think his last game he had a forced fumble though.

    This was an easy call.

Both had fluke rookie seasons, but if you actually watched them play in those seasons- you knew it wouldn't last.

Cam was simply tossing prayers up last year and his WRs were making incredible adjustments to the ball. He had maybe 3 impressive passes where he actually put it where it was supposed to be.

Ehh it could be the case as they both shown immaturity issues, but cam is way more talented and has a head coach who believes in him so he will have more opportunities than Vince had

Compare VY's rookie numbers to Cam's... it just isn't even close.

    VY's rookie year:
    184/357 (51.5%), 2199 yards, 12 TDs, 13 INTs, 66.7 rating, 12 fumbles
    83 rushes, 552 yards, 7 TDs
    2,751 yards, 19 total TDs

    Cam's rookie year:
    310/517 (60.0%), 4,051 yards, 21 TDs, 17 INTs, 84.5 rating, 5 fumbles
    126 rushes, 706 yards, 14 TDs
4,757 total yards, 35 total TDs

Cam was better than VY in every single statistic imaginable... other than wins. But the guy can't do it all on his own. Those numbers are good enough to win a Super Bowl with a good team.

Cam's numbers make it seem like he had some great rookie season as a whole. The truth is that he piled up big stats in the first 4 weeks and then played like your typical rookie after teams realized he stares down wr's for hours

    First four weeks:
    97/163 (59.5%), 1386 yards, 5 TDs, 5 INTs, 85.2 rating
    33 rushes, 133 yards, 4 TDs

    Rest of the way:
    213/354 (60.2%), 2665 yards, 16 TDs, 12 INTs, 89.8 rating
    93 rushes, 573 yards, 9 TDs

So, other than yardage, Cam's stats the rest of the way were all better than his first four weeks. You were saying?

God, the hate for this guy is unreal.

It's like everyone who said he'd be another VY just wants to be right about it. I said he'd be another VY, but I admit I was wrong.

Almost every successful rookie QB has a sophomore slump. Go look at Matt Ryan... doesn't mean he won't improve.

Why is VY the one everybody compares Cam with? Why not David
Carr or any number of other higher draft pick disappointments?

I mean if somebody is so superficial and stupid that the primary comparison is a man's color then you are an idiot and you know who you are.

And anybody who compares Luke Kuechly to Rudd is dumber than a horses excrement. Again the inability to see beyond color. Pathetic.

Kuechly is playing a different position in a different type of defense and still he is on pace to have over 100 tackles, 3 ints and 9-10 PD. He's a f*cking rookie for crying out loud how damn stupid!

Cam has a better physical built then Vince, better arm, just isnt a carry the teaml QB. Young found ways to win in the most dramatic ways. A 99 yard play drive to win the game, converting 4 4th downs on that drive. A 24-21 win over the Giants from being down 21-0 with 10 mins to go in the fourth. Hes clutch in the 4th quarter, Cam is just a freak athlete with good physical tools. Young had the gene to win. Vince just wasnt used to having people boo at him because he never did. Cam is almost the same but he was built up outta hype in just one year. Its not all Cam though. Sure he does too much in the worst times but that offensive line is up and down and his defense gives up bad plays to lose. See the ATL ending. Huge bomb caught by White for like 55 yards. Cam is going to have to play smarter and not become superman. He shouldnt worry about stats , just win the game. Thats what young did. They were both young ( no pun ) and immature, but as players they are pretty damn good.

Confidence is alot in a players game. Alot of people like to think of a football player by big plays, stats, and physical built. Mental part is probably the most important. Confidence keeps a player on a hot streak. Specially when youg young and been successful. Young did it in the biggest games when they needed him. Dont get me wrong Cams no scrub, he can throw but hes just doing too much at the worst times to do them. Id perfer Young though TBH.
