Here are a few snap-count tidbits of interest from the Titans’ 26-23 win over Pittsburgh on Thursday:

    • Middle linebacker Colin McCarthy didn’t practice at all leading up to the game because of his sore ankle and was listed as questionable for the contest. But he still played all 64 defensive snaps against the Steelers and finished the game with eight tackles, second only to Jordan Babineaux’s nine.
    • Rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright was only on the field for 31 of the Titans’ 71 offensive snaps. But Wright was targeted eight times in the 31 snaps he was active, catching six passes for a career-high 71 yards.
    • Wide receiver Kenny Britt made a big jump in participation after seeing limited action against Minnesota. Britt was on the field for 45 snaps (as opposed to 28 against the Vikings), was targeted 11 times and made four catches.
    • The playing time of rookie defensive tackle Mike Martin continues to rise, while that of second-year defensive tackle Karl Klug continues to fall. Martin was on the field for 48 of the Titans’ 64 defensive snaps, producing six tackles, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit. Klug was on the field for just 15 snaps and was not credited with a tackle.
    • Veteran linebacker Will Witherspoon wasn’t on the field for a single defensive snap for the second straight week. Meanwhile, rookie linebacker Zach Brown got 27 snaps. He made four tackles and also did a nice job of breaking up a pass intended for Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller in the end zone.

We must have the youngest group of linebackers in the league. Shows up on missed tackles, but I think this is the most athletic group we've had in some time.

    That is just unacceptable.

I'm happy we won, but there were 2 things the really bothered me. 1. Waaaaay to many dropped passes, even in the endzone. Can't always be settling for field goals. 2. Awful tackling, the D needs to learn to wrap.

Kenny is shaking off the rust. ACL injury, has been banged up again, takes time to get it all together. Still unaccepted.

Colin looked sooo slow out there, it was hard seeing him play like that. Thankfully he's got 10 days to get it together before we take on the Bills..

Hes never been fast. He just reads plays good and is good at running sideline to sideline. I've told you before he's a below average cover guy!

Now Zach Brown on the other hand is fast and can cover TE's pretty good as he did so last night on that second and goal play. We should put him against everyones TE because griffin is fast enough but cant tackle and Brown is fast enough and a heck of a lot better tackler than griffin.
