Not even averaging 2 tackles a game. 1 sack, no FF and not even one batted pass.

Any bench player can do that.

To be fair teams are paying more attention to him with chip blocks and the like but that is not enough reason to be totally not involved on run plays. He makes $7M a year!

Jevon Kearse ran sideline to sideline running people down. If you didn't block him on a counter trey to the opposite side he would often run the play down from the backside. JPP does this.

It is easy to just kick Wimbley to the outside away from running plays inside if he isn't already taking himself out by running past the play.

Now we know why 2 teams were willing to dump this guy. The raiders dumped him without any compensation and the Browns dumped him even after drafting him in rd 1. He is a one dimensional player who gives you a decent pass rush and nothing else.

    Another over paid scrub!

Sadly, Roll-Tide is correct. I really thought this guy was going to make plays for us this year.. but he's been invisible 90% of the time. Disappointing.

Morgan has been a disappointment rushing the passer with just one sack but he at least runs around making tackles. Morgan has been in on 23 tackles vs 9 for Wimbley. At least Morgan is hustling and giving 100% so why isn't richie rich doing that?

A DE with 4.6 speed should be in on a lot of plays. You create turnovers by making tackles from behind when the ball carrier doesn't expect it.

I was going to start a thread about it... From a very recent post...

"It makes me wonder how no one is 'grilling' K Wimbley - opposite that 1 sack against Brady, he actually has done NOTHING.

I mean at least DM is there in run support, but wow, KW just gets eaten up big time, every time. Forget tackling, he can't even get an arm on the RB to slow him down b/c he's too busy getting steamrolled.

And when he has had a chance to tackle a RB, he has failed I think every time. This guy got paid a lot, to do a lot, and so far he hasn't done anything - and I haven't seen anyone give him stig.

As it stands now, just like with CJ and Griff, KW need to start earning those millions...."

KW will make $11.5M this year. SB was $9M and his salary is $2.5.

He is 28 years old and should be in his prime. At 255 lbs you don't expect a force at the point of attack but he can run and pursue plays.

Jacob Ford caliber player making that kind of money.

We should have brought back Ford. Couldn't hurt. Even W. Hayes was better than what we got, and he sucks.

    Too much.

I was going to make a post similar to this. Its obvious we are not getting much of a pass rush, so why have we not put in Klug? We are not stopping the run as is, and we are not getting to the passer. We need to bring in Klug, flat out. 7 sacks last year in limited playing time......he of course won't be a cure all, but I think he deserves more playing time.

RT, just gave me Jevon Kearse memories.. God I miss that guy :(

I almost forgot about KW to be honest. He had a very good preseason in form of getting to the QB, and led me to be very excited about the signing. But, like everyone else has said, he has been non existent so far.

By far the most memorable moment from Wimbley since signing here was his appearance on American Ninja Warrior.
