Yes Stevens is good because teams overlook him, thats true. But c'mon Alex, pat the guy on the back at least for that clutch 4th down catch.

He has 9 catches in the first 4 games which is how much he had all year last year, but is that his fault that the coaches never use him. What I'm saying is that If he became a more targeted guy I think his size will create matchup problems for def. Imagine if he and cook are targeted equally how do you defend both of them when you also have Nate, Kenny, and Kendall on the outside. The titans drafted Thompson to get us a "gronk", when I think we have a duo already that could be very useful. Our offense could be a powerhouse if we had a coach that knew what to do with it.

Not really hatin I guess. But you could at least acknowledge that the guy is better than a skinny lineman.

So it has been a conspiracy since he played for Cal? The Cal and Titans coaches his entire career have conspired to keep him off the field even though he would be a better player for them and generate more wins?

    Sorry, I don't buy it.

So you don't think a player can improve given the right system and coach. Case in point 49ers they sucked but with the sane team under a new coach with a new system they have kicked ass. I'm not saying he seen over looked his entire career I'm saying let's use him more. Given his performance so far some of the haters should lay off.

Sure a player can improve but to what extent? And if that was the plan, then why did we draft Jared Cook trading a 2nd round pick to do so, and why did we draft Thompson?

I think (and a lot of this is a guess) that Stevens is a character guy that works hard and doesn't complain. He is a good influence. And given the chance in receiving he has mostly done well. I do not think he is the elite blocker that some suggest.

I do not think he has true upside as a legit receiving TE. A poor man's Heath Miller someone suggested. A poor man's Heath Miller would be valued around the 30th best TE in the league.

All of my bitching aside, he has done well and deserves all your props. I really just always have sour grapes about misused early draft picks and hold a grudge about it.

Not like I've always been right (or maybe even as good as 50% right) but I really care about our draft and hold the high picks and decisions accountable.

Based on our drafting, Stevens is probably doing better than anyone else we would have drafted.

Didn't Hawk play at Cal? Stevens is more valuable than Hawk IMO.
