Looking Forward ---->

IDK I'm still not comfortable marking any game as a win just yet. We have zero run game and our defense is beyond awful. A deadly combination (for us). That was a super exciting win last Sunday but until this team shows that they can/will play hard for more than 1 out of 3 Sundays I'm going to keep my expectations low.

Right now I'm expecting 6-7 wins, tops. Anything more than that would be gravy. As for tiebreakers if we make it to 9-7, we are already 0-2 in the conference (0-3 if we lose Sunday). So we have a lot of ground to make up there. And I just can't see 10 wins from this team.

Not trying to rain on your parade. Just my honest opinion. But maybe that win last week was just the spark this team needed. We'll know a lot more about our team and the season's prospects after the Houston game

 

I dont think our defense is as bas as everyone believes. I see improvments every week.

 

Please give me what your smoking. We have got worse each week. Gave up more yards each week and more points!

 

The yards and points we gave up last week were part of a strategy conceived by Jerry Gray. Bend, but don't break. Play the linebackers further away than normal, stop the run with the front four, and play the safeties on Mars. You will give up yards with this strategy. It worked for 3 quarters until we went into an all out prevent while assuming victory when Hill came in. Calvin Johnson requires this. The Johnson on the Tinhorns? Not so much.

I expect a 180 in strategies this week. Tons of pressure while watching for the cutback. Maybe these replacement officials will actually call the Texicans for their dirty ass cut blocks they've been getting away with for 3 years. Their little "zone blocking scheme" is nothing more than an excuse to beat the **** out of the opposing players knees.

 

You do realize that we didnt stop the run game against the lions either right! And you cant use an all prevent defense as an excuse because we couldnt stop them in overtime either with their back up qb!

Statistically we have the worst defense and zero run offense. We can't win games with that, the defense must improve. We're not going to get two return TDs every game. We have to start running the ball and making stops on D. We got Arian Foster and AP back-to-back, going to be scary.

I see a 7-9 record at worst but 8-8 at best. If we was an NFC West team 8-8 might get us into the playoffs.
