I'll be honest in saying that I don't think VY was horrible here. He was average. Unfortunately, we never have had the kind of team that would take an average QB to a super bowl win like the Ravens did.

VY was never going to win a playoff game. We can be 8-8 or 9-7 for 10 years, but if we never do anything meaningful, then we are a failure. and that's why VY is a failure. All-pro player in non-meaningful games, worthless in crunch time-playoff clinching or winning games. That's not good enough. Especially when he had a bad attitude, and was a human eggshell, inside and out.

Shut down? KVB was taking the angle away from him and CJ tried to cut him up by going back inside. But because there was five other defensive lineman that was in the backfield he couldnt make that big of a cut and kvb got his ankle! He didnt just quit if thats what your suggesting. Thats preposterous!

the fact that Wright is a ROOKIE and having all these plays under his belt already is a good sign.... rookie WRs aren't rookie RBs... they aren't expected to produce right away..It's much harder to learn all these routes, hots, audibles etc (and adding that he didnt even have a playbook at baylor), then it is to depend on the OL to open the right holes...
Wright is doing well enough right now and will show that he's a great pick at 20
and please brag about how much you're an expert at football because you're a high school coach.. we already have high school refs out there doing a great job..

Plus he is so short. Locker can't see him for the CB's , so he doesn't know if he is even open... or on the field for that matter.

I thought this was going to be a positive stat, like how he's leading all rookie WR's in receptions.

From what I seen vs the Lions they are pretty much using screens to replace the running game. Because you know the point of running on first down is that you at least get a yard or two, and hopefully get 4-5 to make 2nd/3rd down easier. But because we have CJ running backwards 98% of the time, a low risk, short pass accomplishes a similar effect.

I believe that is exactly what we are doing.

I find it ironic that Wright is more prone to turn up field and fight for yardage than our running back.
