We really really need Britt to get healthy, stay healthy, and be the beast he can be. His presence on the field changes the way defenses have to play us and thus makes life easier for Locker and CJ.

If you put him as the single WR on a side then it virtually eliminates the other team from dropping the 9th guy into the box. They are practically forced to have safety help over the top or they risk a quick TD. It makes Locker's reads easier because it limits what the defense can do.

Not having the extra defender in the box should make the running game more effective.

I really like the idea of having Britt on one side with a bunch package of Cook, Washington, and Wright on the other side. Let those 3 WRs force the other safety to committ to helping out over the top. So by formation and personnel we have cleared out the box and made our blocking assignments easier. Put a hat on a hat and run the damn ball.

Without the threat of Britt the defense could easily just man up on the single WR and have the safety available to help out against the run. They won't risk doing that with a healthy Britt.

I don't this it's possible to keep Britt healthy and out of trouble. He can be a beast, but every time he gets it going and shows his potential... BAM! ACL & DUI. I'm tired of hoping this kid will turn it around.

Doesn't matter how many 'guys' are in the box. CJ can't break a tackle and dances behind the LOS. Our OL can't block, you can send 4 and they will still get pressure on CJ, enough to make him dance and the rest of the defense to respond to a run.

That formation would be scary. The height of Britt and Cook, with the speed of Washington and Wright gives many options for Locker. I just hope he can hit the open targets beyond 15 yards. He struggled from time to time in pre-season/week 1 with his deep balls.

I'm convinced Britt is the key to our offense now...

I'm convinced Britt is due for some good luck injury wise....

I'm convinced Britt is still an idiot....

I think the only way we get the running game going is by throwing the ball.

We have to play to our strengths and that is pass protection. I certainly do have accuracy concerns with Locker, but hopefully he improves.

I like that personnel grouping because Cook and Britt are both great deep threats who can go up and catch a ball that isn't thrown perfectly. Having them on opposite sides should make an easy read as to who has single coverage.

You can design a great QB draw from this formation as well. Britt, Cook, Washington go deep to occupy safeties. While CJ swings out into the flat on Britt's side and takes one LBer with him. This leaves us with a hat on a hat blocking and Locker running for some good yardage. Not something you want to do all the time, but we did draft Locker because of his athletic ability.

Hate to say it, but without a decent running game Britt is useless. Yea he can make big plays and get first downs. That will only work for so long against any team.

We need the running game back on track.

If there isn't a "how many games will Britt last before IR" bet in the sportsbook, there should be..

Ehh, not true. Ever defensive coordinator we play has "How to stop CJ" in his gameplan. No matter if CJ is sucking, he still has the homerun factor.. and that scares defenses.
