I know Costa gets off on the replies....But MM averaged over 25 yards per return (if I'm not mistaken), which makes him a huge loss on special teams. Wanting him to go away and have a new unproven return man makes you not a fan.

This blows, awful injury for the guy who's worked so hard. NFL should go to 2 preseason games and 18 reg season games (or 17 with 2 bye weeks). Would it have really mattered on this play, maybe not, but it would have felt a little better happening in a real game.

Either way, a random injury to a guy who works damn hard. All the best to MM

Costa hates Mariani for one reason... and I can't mention it because it will send this into Taboo.

He had 2 return TDs (1 kick, 1 punt) in 2010... just one last year in Carolina on our first possession. And I was at that game going nuts.

But like I've said before... Until Mariani came around, when was the last time we saw a return TD? Pacman? I think so.

The only thing Costa is a "die hard" fan for is dick. That dude is most certainly not a Titans fan. Nobody here likes him. Nobody here wants anything to do with him.

Your wish for Mariani to be injured came true! Grats Costa. Mind if I try?

I hope you get cancer and die a slow, painful, horrific and lonely death. DIE NAMELESS!

Somebody in here talked about Mariani's toughness and it reminded me of Britt last year when he tore his acl and threw the ball at the defenders to keep them from hitting him. Mariani snaps this leg like a twig and holds the ball until he is down then reaches for his leg. That my friends is beyond tough.

I don't know what is worse. Your total unwarranted hate for Mariani or your stupidity.
He was one of the best returners in the NFL and had two TDs last year. The year before that he went to the pro-bowl. On top of that he was really starting to show something at WR.

The only thing more gruesome than watching Mariani's leg broken in half is accidently reading one your posts.

I wasn't the biggest Mariani fan but after reading about all of the hard work he put in this offseason to improve as not only a returner but receiver as well, I was hoping he'd be a big player for us. Hate to see something like this happen to a guy like him, all of his teammates came over to see and talk to him (even Britt) which meant he was pretty well respected.

I hate to be that guy, but I don't understand why he was on the field in a meaningless preseason game anyway...we all know what he was capable of, why not have Reynaud or Woods out there instead?
