TAMPA, Fla. Titans safety Jordan Babineaux did not dress for Friday’s game against the Buccaneers, and was replaced in the lineup by third-year player Robert Johnson.

Babineaux took part in pre-game warm-ups, but Coach Mike Munchak said the team elected to hold him out because of shoulder soreness he’d been suffering throughout the week.

“It’s been sore, so we thought we’d sit him,’’ Munchak said of Babineaux, a starter last season. “It didn’t make any sense to force it.”

Johnson, who has started just three games in his career, worked with the first team unit alongside safety Michael Griffin all week.

“I missed a tackle, but I did what I was supposed to be doing, which was not to let any passes get behind me,’’ Johnson said. “I think it went all right.”

TAMPA, Fla. Fullback Collin Mooney and linebacker Patrick Bailey suffered knee injuries in Friday’s game, and did not finish.

Coach Mike Munchak said he doesn’t believe either injury is serious.

Munchak said tackle Mike Otto underwent surgery on the broken finger he suffered earlier in the week, but he’s still not sure how long he’ll be sidelined.

I'll get to watch the game on Sunday, but just by looking at the numbers....sheesh, Locker. I could complete 30% of my passes throwing left handed....

Not all on Locker (though he was by no means good), the WRs couldn't catch a cold.

The only pass I've seen from the game was the pick. That was awful. I suppose this is what preseason is for though.

So I was at the game, it was my first ever NFL experience, so I will take what I can get even if it is preseason. I was in the 4th row behind the Titans' bench at about the 30 yard line. Quite a few Titans fans there.

Locker definitely struggled. His biggest problem was he kept staring down his receivers EVERY SINGLE TIME. Made it extremely easy for the Bucs' defense. So even if the throw was on target (which it was a few times), a defender easily knocked it down because they knew where he was going to throw it. And then he sailed a bunch of balls, as well. One throw in the end zone when we settled for a 20 yard field goal, Cook got open in the corner and Locker badly overthrew him, not even giving him a chance to catch it. I honestly think he got too excited for his first start. Didn't look too good in warm ups either.

I remember that. I saw it and thought he'd sent it about 10 rows in to the stands. It started bad and didn't get any better.

After one pre season game? Only proves once again how dumb Jags fans are. Gabbert has to play our D, Texans D and Pagano's new D twice next season and we know how he fared last. Locker had his first start and was not great, but I would definitely still pick Locker over Gabbert any day.

I think this too, maybe there was too much adrenaline and he couldn't get settled. I think he bounces back against the Cardinals.
