Titans Defense Could Return to Form

I'm very excited to see the '12 Titans D. We got a ton of potential, but will it pan out??

Will Morgan FINALLY produce?
How will Wimbley translate into our 43?
Will McCourty, Verner, and Campbell step up?
Can Casey & McCarthy become elite?
Will Ayers improve?
Can Mike Martin make a 'Jurrell Casey impact'?

...lot of questions, but a ton of potential.

 

I'm excited to see what Brown can do. I think he can be a real difference maker.

 

Next year will either be fun or painful.

Im hopeful but have no clue what to expect out of this defense next season.

 

Really? So where was all the blitzing on 3rd down last season

 

Left in the back of the playbook due to being his first year and short offseason.

 

If we end the season with the 15th or 16th best defense I would be shocked if we weren't in the playoffs. Either we just missed like last year or something really bad went down on offense.

 

we blitzed more the first 6 games than the rest. I will say this I think jerry gray is a top notch DC, in the mold of greg williams and once he gets the players, we are going to see it.

 

I agree. That's exactly what I expect. 10-6 and playoffs.

 

Just replacing Ball with Wimbely should help significantly. Not just from a total sack total but being able to bring more consistent pressure. Pressure gets the ball out quicker and also results in more incompletions and ints. Morgan should be able to improve his contribution as well. I have high hopes for Martin helping out since anything but a worthless blubber has to be an upgrade.

And it is more about making plays in critical situations than were we are ranked that translates to winning games.
