    They are actually really similar.

    Comparable height/weight -- Locker: 6'3 234 | Young: 6'5 232

Mechanical issues leaving college -- Locker has a better throwing motion but both had footwork issues

Skill set -- Both are athletic QB's with good improvisational abilities and deep balls. Both also have issues hitting mid to short passes that require touch.

He was probably just talking about as a teammate in practice and play styles. I am sure Vince was probably a decent guy to be around, just not when things got stressful.

I think Locker is a better passer coming out of college. I think he developed bad habits at Washington due to not having anything, where as Vince did it because it probably was easier for him to just take off and run.

I agree. I just think that in terms of on the field play the comparison sticks.

I however have seen nothing to suggest that Locker has the maturity of a 5 year old child or the football IQ of ... a five year old child.

Locker seems to have the exact opposite attitude of what Vince would have. You could tell Vince forced answers out regarding play time, but Locker I think is truly taking advantage of his position.

Why can't he be anglo-American and just play ball?

I think its a fair comparison as far as style. They also seem to "spark" the team when they're in the game. People seem to forget that Vince won us a lot of games. Early on, he helped win some of those games with the offense on his back.

    Some differences IMO...

Locker is much better at preparation.
Locker is more of a physical runner than Vince.
Locker is ahead as a pocket passer.

I was one of VY's biggest supporters but immediately supported Locker when we drafted him. I liked Vince because of his intangibles and his ability to extend plays and to make big plays. I felt that Jake would give us those same intangibles and playmaking ability but might develop faster than VY due to his work ethics.

A running QB gives you a huge advantage if they can develop into a pocket passer. With the weapons we have, I don't see why we couldn't have a top 5 offense if we get the run game going.

Vince might not have worked out, but he wasn't a total disaster. He transitioned us from the McNair era and gave us a lot of wins when the rest of our team was garbage. All of VY's problems weren't solely on Vince. Remember who our receivers were and remember our playcalling.

And remember who is struggling to make the Bills roster.
