I decided to do a poll on who everyone thinks should be the starter to open the season here.

Matt Hasselbeck or Jake Locker. There is also a not sure option.

I chose Jake and I'll explain why.Don't get me wrong i really like Hass and i would love for him to retire here and spend the rest of his career as the backup to Locker sort of like O'Donnell did with Mcnair back in the day. With two good QB's on the roster if our starter gets hurt then our play doesn't suffer much when the backup goes in the game.Anyway there are actually many reasons i chose Jake Locker.I think Locker could create more big plays than Hass. With CJ trying to bounce back and be dominant once again i think Locker would open the field up more than Hass especially when defenses also have to worry about Locker taking off on a run or Britt and Wright being wide open way down the field.Could also be a breakout year for TE Jared Cook.If Britt comes back healthy and Wright plays up to his potential we have the makings of a pretty good offense. In fact this could end up being the best offense we've had in a long time.

Impossible to answer until camp starts. One could look amazing and one could look terrible.

    It's really hard to say...

I saw the stagnant Hasselbeck drives last year that kept us out of games...but I also saw Locker's erratic play (he threw a LOT of bad passes, some should have been picked off).

I'm torn. Camp will tell all.

okay, okay... we get it.. you want Locker to start..
It's a toss up... Hasselbeck did well last season before Britt went down... and even after he had good moments with average receivers... but my biggest fear is if Locker doesn't win it now, when will he ever be better than an aging and decreasing Hess?

This is a stupid question because at the end of the day no one who posts here WANTS Mat Hasselbeck to be the starting QB at the beginning of the season. Everyone here is so afraid of Hasselbeck being a second Kerry Collins that they are almost blind to Locker's shortcomings.

Last year Locker brought us back against the Saints and that was great but he was very inconsistent and still needed a lot of work on his footwork and his mid range accuracy. He was also very iffy on a lot of touch passes. Unless he has made improvements in those areas then he has no business starting for the Titans.

almost in a tebow-esque fashion huh? wasn't really accurate and unpolished but he had that "winning" aura that seemed to make everyone around him have a winning spirit

I wouldn't go that far. Tebow actually WON games where has Locker failed to win the Saints game in the red zone.
