    1. We are reacting to an article that claims the decision is already made, and that the competition is a sham. This is a similar claim that every sportswriter that covers this team is saying. If that is true, it is ridiculous.

    2. I don't hate Hass. He played better than I would have thought last year, all things considered. If Locker wins the job, I hope Hass stays on as backup as long as he can still play. But the bottom line is, starting a 37 year old man who has lost his arm and runs out of gas late in the season does nothing but set this franchise back, especially when we have a promising young QB we need to develop.

Now if Locker comes out in training camp and preseason and looks horrible, then I will be the first to say let the kid sit. But he didn't last year during preseason. If anything he looked as good or better than Hass then. He didn't look terrible in his limited action last season, if anything, he looked as good or better than Hass.

In my mind, this is Locker's job, unless he falls on his face in preseason. He's shown enough to get a shot. Hass has not, and can not, shown enough to keep the job. Age is a cruel mistress, but there it is.

Collins didn't have NEAR the touch Hass has.

    Noodle arm? Short memory?

You guys so obsessed with the Kyle Bollers and Jamarcus Russels of the league... who cares if you can throw 80 yards if you have no touch?

Obviously, a big arm by itself is useless.

But I for one got sick of watching Hass complete passes on third down four yards in front of the sticks for an easy tackle. The defense would just lay back, cause they KNOW he can't get it deep.

Seems like he went deep a few times in that video.

But agreed somewhat on throwing short- but if you've been a fan of the Titans- you'd know that's a Titans thing. Not a QB thing.

When have we ever had a QB that throws past the markers on 3rd down?... Never.

Do you think that needs to change? I hope so.

Did you even watch the Colts game? His arm was toast by the end of the year. Get real.

Not surprising when our last 3 QBs have been KFC, VY, and Hass. None of them would have much luck if the coaches let them try to throw past the sticks on 3rd

Vy would have done something stupid like throw it to a reciever who is triple covered.

KFC would have seen the open receiver, but then accidently throw the ball into the stands trying to get it there

Hass would have seen the open reciever too and floated it to him giving the D plenty of time to make an adjustment.

McNair wouldn't throw past the markers either.

So you're saying since we've never had a QB that would throw past the markers, that we should just continue with the same thing? We have a new coaching staff with an OC that likes to air the ball out. That's exactly what this team needs, and Hasselbeck is only holding that back.
