Wimbley should play LB.

    At 6'4-255 Wimbley could be a force at the LB position, blitzing off the edge like a DE, or makeing bone jarring hits in the middle,... as a LB he would be in position to QB the defense, ...i feel he would only be average as an DE , but at LB there is much more room to play, his presence at LB would elevate the play of average players on the line and keep opposing teams guessing, my DE rotatation would be Morgan/Sheppard and Ball/Egboh/Solomon.

    I dont think Ball/Egboh/Solomon is going to solve our "pressure from the line" problem. Sure, Wimbley would help at LB, but then it puts us right back at one of our biggest problems from last season.

    Pretty sure Wimbley DOES play LB. He's just at DE for passing downs.

    I thought he was drafted as a DE but has played LB as of late ...

    I disagree though, Titans need DE in the worst way. Sure he could blitz from the LB position but would be a step behind - rather have him pass-rushing on the line and piling up some sacks. Dont really want to look at Ball and Klug leading this team in sacks anymore ...

    He'll be a full time DE. I'm sure we will use him at LB occasionally though.

    Wimbley is only a LB in a 3-4 defense which we may line up as on occasion. He is primarily a weak side pass rusher which is a DE in our defense. Rushing the passer every down gives Wimbley a chance to be a 10 sack guy on our team.

    If we did line up in a 3-4 we would have our front seven go

    According to RavensShallBurn, Wimbley is a 99 rating DE once you convert him from OLB to DE in Madden12.

    So that means he'll be a beast in real life for us next season.

    Seriously thou, this dude can very easily be the best DE we've had since KVB.

    Nothing here is convincing me Wimbley should play LB. He needs to be a good end because we paid him a lot of money to do so. We just drafted OLBs back to back.

    Granted those are some really stupid Raiders. But reading around a few threads about him, seems like most posters said he has a better chance being a full time DE.

    42 sacks in 6 years is solid. It would be big if he worked out for us.
