Can The Titans Become An Explosive Offense This Year And Beyond?

IF all the pieces fall into place and everything goes right i don't see why this can't be a very high powered offense.I'm thinking things would open up more with Locker being a threat to run with the ball then we have plenty of talent to catch passes especially if we can get Wright and Britt both on the field at once and this would open things up enough for CJ to show us his world class speed once again being a threat to take one all the way.I'm thinking also Cook could be a threat at TE if he lives up to his potential and lets not forget Taylor Thompson and hoping he shows us something good.

After all it is a passing league now and thank god have a new regime in place that will take our offense into the 21st century.Sure Fisher had us playing conservative but that won't win football games as his new team will soon discover. We are building and putting the pieces into place to be the kind of offense we need to be able to compete with other teams in this league.I definitely think we are on our way to being capable of putting some serious points on the board. We have two very good quarterbacks and in this league you have to have a good quarterback or you don't win many games. We have what appears to be a pretty good line if we can get the center spot taken care of.We have built up a bit of depth at WR and TE so we have plenty of targets. We have one of the best RB in football Chris Johnson who i think will bounce back once the WR open the field up more especially Wright and Britt. If Wright is a solid rookie and Britt bounces back things will definitely be good for the offense.

The first game is the perfect test. Can we hang around with Brady and the Patriots?? I definitely think we can.If we get a W to open the season against a team like New England that would be great.

I can see this happening IF our defense gets more turnovers and let our offense get more chances with the ball to make big plays.

The defense doesn't have to get turnovers to have an explosive offense. Having a quality passing game with either qb, added with a good run game from the line and CJ, and it's a reality. Explosive to me doesn't mean dink and dunk tho.

Another bash Fisher post, yawn, sucks.

I have already statistically proven on other threads that the play calling now is NOT that different from what it was 10-20 years ago.

Of course fisher was so blessed with dozens of stud WRs right?

The bottom line is if Fisher goes up to St. Louis and runs Steven Jackson 40 times a game and kicks five field goals he isn't going to win a lot of games. It will be interesting to see if Fisher changed any since he left Tennessee. Not bashing Fisher but i'm so thankful he left so we could gt some fresh blood and new ideas in here.

I see you can't respond with an honest factual post.

Hint, No back ever carried the ball 40 times in one game under Jeff fisher.

Eddie averaged 21.35 carries a game when he played for Jeff fisher. Nice try but failed.

I think the approach fish used was more conservative. Rare would be go for 4th downs. Most of the play calling WAS readable from my couch. It was very aggravating when you could see the run run pass punt coming.

Fisher liked to keep the defense honest by playing alot of play action and survived off the run. Basically ran the ball to pass it. Low scoring game. Heavy defense.

More modern schemes/latest approaches use a reverse theory. Pass the ball to run it. And use delays to catch the defense playing the pass. If you have a capable team, qb, wrs. TEs, to pass to. It's a high scoring, low defense scheme. also some of the reason for this type of team has to do with the changing of rules and the game becoming softer.

I would rather us try and stay up with the bradys and Rogers, than I would the niners and probably what the rams will be.

Eddie does have the record for the most consecutive seasons with 300 carries with 8. They don't make running backs like that anymore.

The word "wide receiver" and Jeff Fisher don't belong.

Fisher didn't know what to do with WR's, that's why this team never had anyone good besides Derrick Mason at the position.

But I had a feeling you'd hate this thread. I clearly recall you calling me out for wanting this team to score 30 points once.

We all know you liked Fisher's backwards thinking.

As for mike75 thinking it's typical Fisher to run 40 times, it's cause it's TRUE! He may not give one ball carrier 40 carries a game, but giving LenDale White and Chris Brown 40 between each other all of 2007 is a whole lot different?

Just admit it, Fisher was awful. When your best receiver is Roydell Williams, you fail as a coach.
